It means so much that I get to work with lovely people to celebrate special moments, people, and places. Home paintings carry so much emotion with them, whether it’s a long time family home, a dream home, or a first home. This home was painted for a client whose late husband built the beautiful wrought-iron fence, and she wanted to make sure his creation was celebrated :) I hope things brings her lots of wonderful memories!

It’s JUNE!!! This month, the collection I chose to paint for my upcoming “Treasured Collections” calendar is ANTIQUE PLATES! I keep seeing plate walls on Pinterest, in home decor magazines and all over Instagram… and I’m here for it! Antique plates are like little framed pieces of art, and you just need to hang them up, or use them (like I do). All of our kitchen plates/dishes that we use daily are either assorted antique/vintage or handmade pottery :) I’ve always felt that a meal tastes better on a pretty plate!

Let me know if you’d like to see this one as an art print before the calendar comes out :)

I hope you are doing something warm and cozy on this dreary day! Perhaps a little reading, movie, knitting, Sewing?! I’ve been making broth/soup, baking, and tidying/rearranging some things, including some artwork on the walls. We don’t have a lot of my artwork up in our house, as we have very little wall space left, but Chris did request to frame my recent book painting! We may frame the original when I can find the perfect frame, but for now this is just the print and I think this antique frame works really well :)

This is 11x14 inches, but did you know that my artwork is available in print sizes from 8x10 to 18x24 inches through my website?! Sometimes you want more of a statement or to fill a larger space. Also, if you ever want a custom size, don’t hesitate to reach out!

Today we celebrate 26 years of togetherness - 16 of those married :) That sounds like such a long time, and it is, but we were kids when we met so I can barely remember life before Chris! We’re so grateful to have grown up together, and to be growing old together… not that we’re old, but will be one day ;) I’m looking SO forward to many more adventures in the forest, exploring in Europe (mostly France!), treasure hunting markets and thrift shops, and enjoying everyday moments. Just wanted to share a little personal post today - cheers to love!

SHOP FEATURE // It’s always so fun to see my work out in the wild, especially when it’s a collaboration! I’ve designed several bags for chocolate (including this sweet bunny design) and I recently spotted them in Georgetown (Glen Williams) at below their beautiful cherry blossom tree! And my cards are there, as well. They have a beautiful café and lots of great gifts, and there’s an antique mall just down the street. Definitely worth a visit!
