A member of the Abbotsford Arts Council and the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance (GVPTA), Gallery 7 Theatre exists to produce entertaining and thought-provoking theatre that stirs the heart, stimulates the mind and elevates the soul. We are an artistic community in which professional and recreational theatre artists and technicians collaborate together to create excellent theatre in

a life-affirming, respectful and professional environment. We are a catalyst for artistic growth and greater appreciation for the arts in the wider community through our educational and audience engagement activities. Founded in 1991, Gallery 7 Theatre was incorporated as a non-profit society and registered as a charitable organization in 2005. (Charitable )

Our theatre season features main-stage productions that explore intellectual, emotional and spiritual themes, as well as guest performances, workshops, summer camps for children and teens and other educational activities. To date, we have produced over 65 productions ranging from sketches, touring productions and full-length plays.

Seasonal Box Office Agent 🎟️

We’re looking for someone welcoming and service-minded, that understands that patrons are at the heart of everything we do. The ideal candidate has customer service experience, can learn ticketing and point-of-sale systems, and is available for flexible daytime, evening, and weekend hours.

Permanent, Part-Time Marketing Coordinator (Remote) 💻

We’re looking for a creative and dependable individual with a strong eye for visual communication. The ideal candidate has experience in graphic design or marketing, is confident using Adobe Creative Suite and digital design platforms, and can create engaging, on-brand print and digital materials.

Auditions are only 2 weeks away for this year's holiday show, A Christmas Carol!

📅 General Auditions: September 1st at 6:00 PM
📅 Callbacks: September 3rd starting at 6:00 pm
📅 Rehearsals for this production will begin on or around September 29th

🎭 A Christmas Carol will run for 10 performances between December 11 and 20th at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.

Back in June, we had the opportunity to get together and celebrate those who made our 2025/2026 season possible, at our annual Volunteer & Sponsor Appreciation Night!

Thank you to all 253 people involved in last year's overwhelmingly positive season!

Gallery 7 Theatre is excited to announce the newest member of our staff, Development & Operations Manager, Francis Wang!

Francis is passionate about building meaningful communities where people feel welcomed, connected, and inspired. Before joining Gallery 7 Theatre, Francis served in Student Life and Community Engagement at Trinity Western University, where he coordinated campus events, supported TWU communities, and built partnerships with local businesses that strengthened campus life.

Outside of work, Francis has been an active swing dancer and bassist for many years. He led his swing dance team to a third-place finish in the City Battle at the Savoy Cup 2019 in France. The following year, he was invited to compete in the Savoy Cup Champions Cup. During the pandemic, Francis brought together eleven vernacular jazz dancers to create (Sit In) The Pocket Album, a screen-based project that blended jazz music, dance, and storytelling. Since moving to Canada, he has remained connected to the local swing dance community and continues to express his love for music as a bassist in a worship band.

As Development & Operations Manager, Francis is honoured to carry the baton forward, helping Gallery 7 Theatre continue to grow its impact through meaningful relationships and community engagement while supporting its mission to create theatre that inspires hope, reconciliation, and transformation.

We are so grateful for our amazing Front of House volunteers!

Two of our wonderful concession volunteers from this past season, shared the following with us about their experience:

"As sisters, volunteering for Gallery 7 Theatre in the concession gives us a great opportunity to do something together. Life gets so busy and even though we live near each other, we don’t always have time to spend with each other.

Gallery 7 Theatre has become our thing that we enjoy doing. We even challenge ourselves to come up with ideas to improve the concession experience for patrons of the theatre and ideas to make the concession more efficient.

Gallery 7 Theatre gives us a sense of belonging and connection to Abbotsford and the people who live, work, and play here.

We’ve made friends with others we otherwise would have never met. We’re contributing to the nurturing and success of local talent while strengthening the cultural fabric of Abbotsford."
