Happy Saint Patrick's Day, friends!
This is me walking in Ireland amongst the colourful fall leaves and perfectly grazed, greener-than-green hills. It took my breath away. It made my heart beat fast. It was like the most beautiful dream. I will never ever forget it. It is forever etched in my memory.
My legs hurt after 45 minutes.
I kept walking.
I was sicker than I had ever been.
I kept walking.
I had barely slept in days.
I kept walking.
My hip ached.
My body was stiff.
And my spasms were on fire.
But I kept walking.
Because…
This photo is a reminder of my journey.
How fitting that it landed on my desktop this morning because I have a lot to celebrate.
In November 2024, when I took that trip, I had just been accepted into Toronto Film School’s screenwriting program. I was over the moon.
Two years prior, I had written my first solo show, “The Awkward Ballerina,” with TJ Dawe as my director and dramaturge. Then I was fortunate enough to perform it both at home and internationally with BETH MARSHALL PRESENTS and The Inclusivity Project (TIP Company).
Today, Two Left Feet Productions is gearing up to produce my new show, “Pregnant… And it's Still Awkward!” alongside Andrew Jamieson.
Today, I am nearly six classes away from graduating with a screenwriting diploma and a portfolio that includes a film adaptation, a short film, an original sitcom pilot… And a one-hour drama series pilot.
Today, I get to spend the evening talking with my super-talented, super-cool, all-around awesome person and good friend, Eric Gagné, on his podcast with my son and my husband in attendance.
It has been busy.
It has been challenging.
It has been tiring.
Frustrating.
Discouraging at times.
But one thing I can say is that it has been worth it.
Every. Single. Second.
To say I am grateful is an understatement. There are no words to describe the feeling when you get to do what you love.
I will always be thankful to all those who are, were, and continue to be a part of my journey. I have a special place in my heart for all of you. For your help, support, guidance, wisdom, love… thank you… Thank you a million times.
Sending good vibes, love, and kindness to all of you on this St. Patty’s Day 2026!
