As farmers and stakeholders, we are taking a stand to protect our livestock and livelihoods. This initiative focuses on rehabilitating the Lephephe–CKGR cordon fence as a defense against the spread of Foot & Mouth Disease to the North.

To make this possible, we are calling on your support. 🙏

An outbreak has been confirmed in the Goodhope District (Zone 11). Movement restrictions have been imposed with immediate effect.

Farmers and the public are urged to remain vigilant, follow control measures, and report any suspected cases immediately.

Subject: Postponement of the 2026 SRA Field Day

We regret to announce the difficult decision to postpone the 2026 SRA Field Day which was scheduled for 24-26 April 2026. As responsible stakeholders in ensuring the health of the country's Agricultural Sector, especially the livestock industry, the Sandveld Ranchers Association, in consultation with our stakeholders, found it prudent to play our part in the interest of protecting the Sector. In this regard, the 2026 SRA Field Day is postponed to next year. This decision is aimed at limiting any potential outbreak or spread of the FMD scourge, and to enable uninterrupted management and control of the disease. This includes limiting non-essential animal movement.

We look forward to hosting you on 23-25 April 2027!!! See you next year!

Remember, no illegal movement, no spread of FMD!
