MARKED: Pursued by danger protected by love

Prologue

The child was never supposed to survive the night.
The midwives whispered it as they saw the mark shimmer faintly on his skin, their eyes wide with a fear older than words. By dawn, the news had already spread beyond the hospital walls—across streets, into hidden halls, through mouths that should have stayed silent.
Some called it a blessing.
Most called it a curse.
For centuries, the mark had only appeared in legends—etched into lullabies, carved into stone, half-remembered in dying men’s prayers. It was said to belong to the vessel who would carry a script older than memory itself. A child who would either save the world… or break it.
And now, in a quiet ward under flickering lights, that child had been born again.
Hunters were already moving.
Protectors too.
The mark had awakened—and nothing could stop what followed.

INT. HOSPITAL ROOM – DAY**

Luca lay in the hospital bed, his head bandaged and his body weak. The room was quiet except for the steady beeping of the heart monitor. The door creaked open, and May, Max, Lisa, and Jacob entered, their faces etched with concern and sorrow.

Luca: (weakly) May... Max... Mom, Dad...

Lisa: (tearfully) Luca, we’re here. We’re all here.

Jacob: (sternly) Luca, what have you done? Why did it have to come to this?

Luca’s eyes filled with tears as he looked at his family, the weight of his actions pressing down on him.

Luca: (choking up) I’m so sorry. I never meant for it to go this far. I just... I just wanted us to be together, May.

May: (softly) Luca, this isn’t love. Look I just want us to find peace.

Luca’s breathing became labored, and he struggled to speak.

Luca: (whispering) I’m sorry for everything. I’m sorry for hurting you, May. I’m sorry for causing so much pain.

Lisa: (sobbing) Luca, we love you. We always will.

Jacob: (softly) Son...

Luca’s eyes fluttered closed, and his breathing slowed. The heart monitor’s beeping became erratic, then flatlined. The room was filled with the sound of sobbing as the family held each other, mourning the loss of Luca.

- Epilogue:

**INT. NEW HOME – DAY**

May and Max had started a new life together, far from the chaos and pain of their past. They sat together, holding hands, as they looked out at the peaceful surroundings.
Max: (softly) We made it, May. We’re free.
May: (smiling weakly) Yes, we are.

The end!!!!❤️

May struggled to free herself from the wreckage, her body aching from the impact. She saw a light approaching through the rain and heard Max’s voice calling her name.

May: (crying) Max! Help me, please!

**EXT. WRECKAGE – NIGHT**

Max reached the car, his hands shaking as he yanked open the door. He carefully pulled May from the wreckage, holding her close as she sobbed uncontrollably.

Max: (softly) I’ve got you, May. You’re safe now.

May clung to Max, her body trembling from the cold and shock. She glanced back at the car, where Luca was still unconscious, the rain washing away the blood.

May: (whispering) What about Luca?

Max: (gently) We’ll get him help. But right now, we need to get you to safety.

**EXT. WRECKAGE – NIGHT**

Max took out his phone, his hands trembling, and dialed emergency services.

Max: (frantically) There’s been a car accident. We need an ambulance. Please hurry!

He provided the location, his voice shaking with urgency. Moments later, the wail of sirens pierced the stormy night. Paramedics arrived and rushed to tend to Luca, who was barely clinging to life.

**EXT. REMOTE CABIN – NIGHT**

Luca and May walked out into the storm, leaving Max behind. The rain lashed at them, thunder rumbling ominously. Luca roughly pushed May into the car, his grip painfully tight on her arm.

Luca: (commanding) Get in the car, May. We’re leaving.

May: (pleading) Luca, please, this isn’t right. Just let me go.

Luca: (coldly) You know I can’t do that. We’re meant to be together.

---

**INT. CAR – NIGHT**

Luca sped down the dark, winding road, the rain hammering against the windshield. Visibility was nearly zero, and the wipers struggled to keep up. May sat in the passenger seat, her eyes wide with terror.

May: (desperately) Luca, slow down. You’re going to get us killed!

Luca: (angrily) Don’t tell me what to do! We need to get away from here.

**EXT. HIGHWAY – NIGHT**

The car skidded on the wet road, the tires barely gripping the slick asphalt. Luca’s knuckles were white as he gripped the steering wheel, his jaw set in determination.

May: (shouting) Luca, please! Think about what you’re doing!
Luca: (furiously) I’m doing this for us, May! For our love!

**INT. CAR – NIGHT**

Luca glanced at May, his eyes filled with a twisted sense of determination. He didn’t notice the sharp turn ahead until it was too late.

May: (screaming) Luca, look out!

**EXT. HIGHWAY – NIGHT**

The car careened off the road, smashing through the guardrail. It tumbled down the steep embankment, flipping over multiple times as metal crunched and glass shattered.

**INT. CAR – NIGHT**

May’s vision blurred as she regained consciousness. The car was upside down, rain pouring in through the shattered windows. Luca was slumped over the steering wheel, blood trickling from a gash on his forehead.

May: (weakly) Luca...?

**EXT. HIGHWAY – NIGHT**

Max had followed the sound of the crash, his heart pounding with fear. He stumbled down the embankment, desperate to find May.

Luca: (breathing heavily) This is your last warning, Max. Leave now, or I’ll make sure you regret it.

May, tears streaming down her face, begged them to stop.

May: (sobbing) Please, stop! Luca, this isn’t the way. Max, I’m so glad you remember me. That’s all that matters.

Luca, still holding the gun, pointed it at Max again.

Luca: (coldly) You’re going to sit there and watch us walk away. If you try to follow, I won’t hesitate to use this.

Max, his eyes locked on May, nodded slowly.

Max: (softly) I love you May.

May, her voice trembling, pleaded with Luca.

Max's frustration grew as he encountered more judgment and ridicule. Finally, a kind old woman stepped forward.

Old Woman: I saw her with a man. They seemed... troubled. They headed out of town a few weeks ago.

Max: (grateful) Thank you. I will find her.

Old Woman: (cautiously) Be careful, young man. The people here aren't kind. They talk, they judge. But I believe in second chances.

Max nodded, determination in his eyes. He knew he had to find May and bring her back to safety.

INT. CABIN – DAY**

May made another attempt to escape. She sneaked out of the cabin, but Luca caught her again.

Luca: (angrily) You think you can leave me? Never!

May: (defiantly) I will never stop trying, Luca. You can’t keep me here forever.
**EXT. REMOTE CABIN – NIGHT**

Max followed the lead to a remote cabin. The cabin was dark and eerie, surrounded by dense forest. He stepped out of the car, clutching the photo of May.

Max: (to himself) This must be the place.

**INT. CABIN – NIGHT**

Luca and May were in the midst of another heated argument when Max burst through the door.

Max: (shouting) May!

May and Luca turned to face Max. Luca's face twisted in anger, while May's eyes filled with hope and relief.

May: (tearfully) Max!

Luca, in a fit of rage, pulled out a gun and pointed it at Max.

Luca: (furiously) You won’t take her from me!

Max: (calmly) Let her go, Luca. This isn’t love. You are sick.

May struggled in Luca's grip, trying to break free.

May: (desperately) Max, help me!

Max lunged at Luca, knocking the gun out of his hand. The two men grappled, each trying to gain the upper hand. The gun skidded across the floor, coming to rest near the door.

Luca: (struggling) You think you can take her from me? Never!

Max managed to push Luca away and scrambled for the gun. Just as he reached it, Luca tackled him, and the gun went off, the bullet hitting the ceiling.

INT. MAX’S CAR – NIGHT**

Max drove through the rain, the photo of May on the passenger seat. His memories were slowly coming back, piece by piece.

Max: (to himself) Hold on, May. I'm coming for you.

**INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY**

Luca paced back and forth, glancing suspiciously out the window. May sat on the couch, her mind racing with thoughts of escape.

Luca: (paranoid) We need to be careful. They're all talking about us. We can't trust anyone.

May: (calmly) Luca, this isn’t life. This is madness.

Luca: (angrily) You don't understand! They want to tear us apart!

**INT. ALEXANDER FAMILY HOME – DAY**

Max stood at the front door of the Alexander family home, his heart pounding. Lisa opened the door, her eyes widening in surprise and confusion.

Lisa: (surprised) Max? Is that really you?

Max: (nodding) Yes, Mrs. Alexander. I need to find May. Please, where is she?

Lisa: (tearfully) Oh, Max... We don't know. Luca took her away. We've been trying to reach her, but...

Jacob appeared behind Lisa, his face stern but concerned.

Jacob: (firmly) Come in, Max. We need to talk.

**INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY**

Max, Lisa, and Jacob sat in the living room. The atmosphere was heavy with worry and tension.

Max: (desperately) What happened? How did it come to this?

Jacob: (sighing) We don't know where Luca has taken her. We've tried everything to find them.

Lisa: (pleading) Max, you have to help us. Please fix it

Max: (determined) I will. I promise.

EXT. ALEXANDER FAMILY HOME – DAY**

Max left the Alexander home, determined to find May. He started asking around, showing people the photo. Some recognized her but were hesitant to speak. The whispers and judgmental glances were palpable.

Neighbor 1: (sneering) Oh, you're looking for the Alexander girl? Good luck with that mess.

Neighbor 2: (mockingly) They say she ran off with her brother. Disgusting, if you ask me.

Max's frustration grew as he encountered more judgment and ridicule.

INT. ALEXANDER FAMILY HOME – DAY**

Lisa and Jacob Alexander sat in the living room. They were visibly distressed, discussing the rumors and judgment from society.

Jacob: (sighing) The neighbors won’t stop talking. They keep saying we failed as parents.

Lisa: (worried) How did we get here? What did we do wrong?

Jacob: We need to talk to them. We need to understand what's happening.

Lisa: (nodding) Let’s call them. Maybe we can help.

**INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY**

The phone rang in the isolated home. Luca answered, his expression turning serious as he heard his father's voice.

Luca: (on the phone) Yes, Dad?

Jacob: (sternly) Luca, put May on the phone. We need to talk to both of you.

Luca hesitated but eventually handed the phone to May. She took a deep breath before speaking.

May: (softly) Hello, Dad?

Jacob: (gently) May, what’s going on? Where did we go wrong? Why are you doing this?

**INT. ALEXANDER FAMILY HOME – DAY**

Jacob and Lisa exchanged worried glances as they waited for May's response.

May: (tearfully) I don’t know, Dad. Things just... spiraled out of control.

Lisa: (pleading) May, come back home. We can figure this out together.

May: (sobbing) I wish it were that simple, Mom. Luca won’t let me go.

Jacob: (angrily) Luca, this is insane! What are you thinking?

Luca: (defensively) You wouldn’t understand. This is the only way we can be together.

Lisa: (crying) This isn’t love, Luca. You’re hurting May. Please, let her come home.

**INT. LIVING ROOM – DAY**

May, still holding the phone, looked at Luca with tear-filled eyes. Luca, feeling cornered and desperate, snatched the phone away.

Luca: (shouting) We don’t need your judgment! Leave us alone!

He slammed the phone down, cutting off the connection. May collapsed on the couch, sobbing.

May: (whispering) What have we become, Luca?

Luca: (softly) I’ll protect you, May. Even if they all hate me for it.
