MARKED: Pursued by danger protected by love
Prologue
The child was never supposed to survive the night.
The midwives whispered it as they saw the mark shimmer faintly on his skin, their eyes wide with a fear older than words. By dawn, the news had already spread beyond the hospital walls—across streets, into hidden halls, through mouths that should have stayed silent.
Some called it a blessing.
Most called it a curse.
For centuries, the mark had only appeared in legends—etched into lullabies, carved into stone, half-remembered in dying men’s prayers. It was said to belong to the vessel who would carry a script older than memory itself. A child who would either save the world… or break it.
And now, in a quiet ward under flickering lights, that child had been born again.
Hunters were already moving.
Protectors too.
The mark had awakened—and nothing could stop what followed.
