Applications for the 2023 Creative Business Cup Botswana competition are now open! We are calling all startups to apply for the national competition now!

The Creative Business Cup is an international competition for entrepreneurs. Each year national partners host a national competition to select one lucky startup that will go and represent themselves and their country at the Global Finals in Copenhagen Denmark.

Startups can be from the following industries and more;

• Advertising
• Architecture
• Craft & Artisanship Design
• Experience Technologies Fashion
• Film, Video & Photography Gastronomy
• Leisure Activities
• Music
• Performing Arts
• Play & Learn
• Publishing
• Radio & Television Software
• 3D Printing Maker

The application deadline for the Botswana National finals is the 21st of March 2023.

A PHOTO WE LOVE…

WHY do we love it?
Firstly, because we shot it in transit to showcasing Creative Cart’s solutions on a great global network for the FIRST time. Secondly, having endured a delay due to a storm around the departure city (Oslo, Norway), appreciating the sun piercing through the skies midway after a period of dark heavy skies was such a delight.

WHAT do we love about it?
Around this area, one could appreciate both the storm and the clearer skies (and definitely less turbulence😁). More importantly, this photograph (…shot with a mobile phone☝🏾😄)has a good balance of all elements of design - light falls beautifully on the clouds, the ‘rough-ish’ texture of clouds on the foreground, with the smooth background define perspective such that you can appreciate depth. This monochrome gives a satisfying appreciating of form and movement while evoking thought and appreciation of nature’s wonders.

In a conversation with her professor in 2016 just after graduating, our founder told the Professor that she had indeed graduated chemical engineering (with good grades and a good command of the discipline) but her passion and purpose was in the ARTS. He responded and said - ‘…FOR THE EDUCATED, WISDOM AND THE UNIVERSE ALWAYS BRINGS YOU BACK.’ then went on to gift her with Russian Art Literature.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Chawa and wish her all the best in her learning and growth as we look forward to her continuing to empower us and visual artists.
