HONORING A LEGACY OF 38 YEARS

​This past week, we had the distinct honor and privilege as the Dintorokong Choir to bid a musical farewell to our beloved Village Chief Kgosi Raphael Mmipi. For 38 remarkable years, he has guided our community with wisdom, dedication, and grace. As he officially hands over the baton, we stand in celebration of his incredible legacy

​To show our deep gratitude, we performed a special piece of musical art of Dikhwaere. For us, this was more than just a farewell, it was our way of giving back to our locality and doing our part to preserve the rich cultural heritage of Dikhwaere music.

​Our Chief's profound impact has stretched far and wide, culminating in formal recognition at the highest level of state governance in 2024.💖

​Thank you, Kgosi Rre Mmipi for nearly four decades of selfless leadership. Your legacy will live on in our hearts and our music 👑🙏🏾

The management and members of the Dintorokong Choir are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Dikhwaere presenter, Gabriel Gofaone "Phunya" Modise.

He was a true champion of our culture, and his unmatched energy, passion, and dedication to Dikhwaere music will forever resonate in our hearts and on the airwaves. We mourn with his family, friends, and the entire Dikhwaere, Threate & Presentor community during this difficult time.

His legacy will continue to sing through us.
