Trying not to look like what I’m going thru. 😮‍💨
Ya’ll… life is HARD. For those of you that may not know, I lost my daddy over a week ago. He was such a good man. Literally the only person on this earth that could tell me anything, that could get me to do something I did not want to do, the only person I would listen to and he’s gone 😭 he grew my twin sister & I up from babies as a single father. He is the reason I am who I am today. He was a proud man. A proud Jamaican Bahamian. An artist. A provider!! No excuses. No nonsense. Said what he meant and meant what he said and he never gave a f*ck if you liked it or not. He was strong, independent & innovative.
The world hardened him into being a bit aggressive & pessimistic but he fought to create a beautiful life for him & his children. He loved us. I’m taking the love & the lessons with me now. I’m so glad Koffy knew & loves her grandpa. The memories will last forever.
I’m so grateful for the time spent. He lived by his own rules, walked to the beat of his own drum. He was not a crowd follower or a people pleaser. If you cannot fully explain your pov to him with proven facts & examples please immediately stop the conversation and find something safe to do. He could not be convinced of anything if his mind was already made up.
I am my father’s daughter. He lives on thru his descendants, his art & his contributions to this Earth.
