ANDROS BLACKOUT: Less than 24 hours after power was restored to the island following a fire at its Fresh Creek plant, Bahamas Power & Light revealed that customers across Andros are experiencing an island-wide outage as of 6:10, Tuesday morning.

Officials say the outage was caused by an unknown fault that tripped the Nicolls Town Power Station, affecting all customers from Nicolls Town to Behring Point.

BPL says technicians are on the ground investigating the cause and working to restore supply. The company apologizes for the disruption and will provide further updates as they become available.
