O Circulo – Grupo de Estudos Híbridos das Artes da Cena, do Departamento de Artes Cênicas da ECA/USP, surgiu em 2014 como expansão territorial do GIPAC, um coletivo focado na pesquisa do teatro de animação, formado em 2010. O Círculo tem por objeto de pesquisa amutabilidade dos fenômenos cênicos contemporâneos envolvendo as artes cênicas e outros domínios. Há o interesse na publicação de artigos d
e autoria coletiva, nomeados por ordem alfabética, tal como uma dança circular. A pesquisa coletiva e não a autoria individual é o que aglutina e nos move, é ela que nos representa em congressos e seminários. Os atores individuais são representantes do coletivo. A ideia de circulo perpassa todas as atividades: a pesquisa científica, o fazer artístico e as relações pessoais. As funções internas constituem paragens transitórias necessárias ao funcionamento de O Círculo que espelha o fazer investigativo sempre em mutação.

O Círculo – Hybrid Study Group of the Arts of the Scene, from the Department of Scenic Arts of ECA/USP, arose in 2014 with the territorial expansion of GIPAC, a collective focused on the research of animation theater. O Círculo has as an object of study the mutability of the contemporary scenic phenomena involving scenic arts and other fields. The group searches for the elimination of the traditional concept of authorship and individual prestige in the production of the knowledge. There is an interest in publishing articles from a collective authorship nominated in alphabetical order, such as a circular dance. The collaborative research instead of the individual authorship is what joins and moves us, that research is what represents us in congresses and seminaries. The individual actors are representatives of the hole. The idea of circle covers all activities: the scientific research, the artistic practice and the personal relationship. The internal functions constitute necessary transitory stopovers needed to the functioning of The Circle that mirrors the investigative acting that is always being maintained
