Prezados artistas, criativos e empreendedores culturais,
Comunicamos que a Bienal de Arte Digital será suspensa por tempo indeterminado. Desde dezembro de 2022, buscamos incansavelmente viabilizar o projeto. Contudo, o cenário atual, marcado pelo cancelamento de um dos nossos principais apoiadores diante das novas diretrizes da empresa, inviabilizou a continuidade do patrocínio.
Além disso, a Bienal enfrenta um contexto econômico desafiador para a cultura no Brasil, com uma queda significativa na captação de recursos em 2024. Dados recentes do Ministério da Cultura indicam uma retração de 45% em investimentos no Brasil, comparável aos níveis de 2012, o que reflete um retrocesso de 12 anos.
Como projeto 100% gratuito e sem fins lucrativos, a Bienal não possui condições financeiras de sustentar sua estrutura diante das atuais dificuldades. As atividades previstas estão suspensas e todos os artistas, parceiros e fornecedores serão comunicados diretamente.
A Bienal impactou milhares de pessoas em edições anteriores e foi reconhecida internacionalmente, com participações em eventos de destaque como a ExpoDubai, na Coreia do Sul, na União Europeia e América do Sul. Este é um momento desafiador, mas acreditamos que o projeto encontrará caminhos para o seu legado.
Aos artistas inscritos na edição 2024/2025 ("Sonho Profundo"), informamos que suas propostas serão arquivadas. Caso o projeto seja retomado, vocês serão informados para indicar interesse na participação.

We would like to inform you that the Digital Art Biennial will be suspended indefinitely. Since December 2022, we have been tirelessly trying to make the project viable. However, the current scenario, marked by the cancellation of one of our main supporters in the face of the company's new guidelines, has made it impossible to continue sponsoring.
In addition, the Bienal faces a challenging economic context for culture in Brazil, with a significant drop in fundraising in 2024. Recent data from the Ministry of Culture indicates a 45% retraction in investments in Brazil, comparable to 2012 levels, which reflects a 12-year setback.
As a 100% free, non-profit project, the Biennale is unable to sustain its structure in the face of the current difficulties. The planned activities have been suspended and all artists, partners and suppliers will be notified directly.
The Biennale has impacted thousands of people in previous editions and has been recognized internationally, with participations in prominent events such as ExpoDubai in South Korea, the European Union and South America. This is a challenging time, but we believe that the project will find ways to continue its legacy.
To the artists registered for the 2024/2025 edition (“Deep (sleep) Dream”), we would like to inform you that your proposals will be archived. If the project is resumed, you will be informed to indicate your interest in participating.
