✨THE CONCEPT OF (DE)FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES✨

For the last video of our series, we invited some very special guests to talk about FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES (We're EFOPLI, it is the basis of what we are!)

This topic is explored by Ferraz on his book Língua-linguagem, Educação e Educação Linguística. While doing so, he raises an interesting philosophical reflection: if teacher education is about reshaping yourself as an educator, we could think of it as process that involves our (DE)FORMAÇÃO; that is, a continuous process of "desformatação".

✨REIMAGINING LANGUAGE EDUCATION PART 2✨: Institutional Education and Education for life!

While reading Ferraz's book, we came across two interesting concepts: Educação Institucional e Educação para a vida. We discussed about how school, for society, is something severed from life, which makes no sense at all if you think it through. Such binarism is challenged by the author! There is so much science in life, and there is so much life in the school corridors. Our morale is not shaped solely outside school, nor is our intectual side shaped only by the contents we study in class.

Hey, there, long time no see!

Since last December, the project Educação Linguística, Saberes e Vozes da Docência has been focused on a very special book: Língua-linguagem, Educação e Educação Linguística, by author Daniel Ferraz (2024).

The book really touched us, so we came up with a special way to share its main concepts with you!

✨REIMAGINING LANGUAGE EDUCATION✨ is a series of 3 videos, each one concentrated on a specific provocation broght up by Ferraz, and our own reinterpretations on the matter.

Welcome to part 1: The concepts of Língua-linguagem and Linguagem-língua!
