🎵 Title: “Three Companies After Me!”
(A comic Broadway number for one desperate-but-dramatic employee)
[Verse 1]
I’ve been working day and night,
Typing memos left and right,
Filing dreams in folders labeled “Someday!”
But now my rent is due,
And my wallet’s feeling blue,
So I’m marching in — it’s showtime today!
[Pre-Chorus]
He’s sitting there in his chair,
With that billionaire glare,
I take a breath and boldly make my plea…
[Chorus]
🎶 “Boss, I need a raise!” I say,
“I’ve earned it fair and square!”
He says, “Convince me why, or find another chair!”
I flash a grin, as smooth as can be,
And shout with glee —
“There are three companies after me!”
[Verse 2]
He leans in close, suspicious tone,
“Three companies? You’re not alone?”
I nod and give a Broadway-worthy stare…
He says, “Well, tell me who they are,
If you’re such a rising star!”
I twirl, dramatic flair —
[Chorus 2]
🎶 “The water company! The light! The phone!
They won’t leave me alone!”
Every bill’s a love letter,
Begging, “Please pick up the phone!”
I may be broke, but my timing’s key,
‘Cause there are three companies after me!
[Bridge]
I’ve got ambition, got a spark,
But my fridge is in the dark…
My phone won’t ring, my shower’s cold,
I’m one missed payment from being sold!
[Final Chorus]
🎶 “Boss, I need a raise today,
Before my lights fade away!”
He laughs so loud the walls start to shake,
Says, “Kid, that’s the best pitch you could make!”
Now I’m dancing in prosperity,
‘Cause the boss liked my creativity
[Tagline – Spoken, with a wink]
“And now they’ll have to wait in line!” 💃
