TRAVEL ISN'T A COMPETITION. IT'S A PERSONAL JOURNEY.
(My personal thoughts for the viral post 👉 “If you can only afford to travel by eating cheap convenience-store food (like 7-Eleven), maybe you shouldn’t travel.”
We don’t travel for luxury - we travel for memories.
For the sunrise views, the random conversations, the unfamiliar streets that slowly start to feel like home. For the stories we’ll tell years from now.
Sometimes that means simple meals, street food, local markets, or small places where locals eat every day. And honestly? Those moments often become the most authentic, most unforgettable parts of a trip. Travel isn’t defined by how expensive it looks - it’s defined by how deeply you experience it.
Yes, we always travel with a budget. But never with fear. We plan carefully, research every destination, and always bring an emergency cushion so we can explore freely without stress. Preparation doesn’t limit adventure - it protects it.
Backpackers and frequent travelers understand this:
travel isn’t about luxury, it’s about perspective. It’s about choosing curiosity over comfort sometimes, connection over convenience, memories over material things.
A few things that help us travel better:
• Plan ahead so you can relax when you arrive.
• Leave space for spontaneous moments, they become the best stories.
• Eat local, talk to locals, observe daily life.
• Budget wisely, but never forget why you’re traveling.
• And always remember: your journey doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s.
Because at the end of the day, nobody remembers the price tag.
They remember the feeling, the laughter, the discovery… the memories.
