Hello, dear readers.
This is GMAN, the author of Sashimi Academy.

I’d like to take a moment to explain why the series is taking a break.

When I started Season 2, I had built up a buffer of three completed chapters in advance.

During the hiatus after Season 1 ended, I went through several personal circumstances, including moving, which made it difficult to devote myself fully to the series. Even so, I wanted to keep my promise to return in November. Although I knew it would be difficult, I decided to resume serialization and have been pushing forward ever since.

While working on Season 2, I also experienced major life events, including the birth of my child, along with many other challenges. Despite that, I didn’t take a single day off from working on the manuscript. In fact, throughout Season 2, I only managed to finish a chapter within a single week once. Most chapters actually took 8–9 days to complete. As a result, I eventually used up all the chapters I had prepared in advance, and I had no choice but to announce this hiatus. Even during this break, I will continue working on the upcoming chapters.

I know better than anyone that, for a weekly serialization, meeting deadlines is the most important responsibility of an author. However, as the story progressed, I kept finding more things I wanted to show you. Rather than rushing the story forward or squeezing extra content into a chapter, I always prioritized delivering the emotions and story that each chapter was meant to convey.

I understand that, with the nature of weekly serialization, meeting deadlines should come first. Even so, I believe that what truly lasts is the work itself, and I’ve drawn every chapter with that belief. Of course, there are still many areas where I fall short, and perhaps I let my own ambitions get the better of me at times. But one thing has never changed: my desire to give everyone who waits for Sashimi Academy each week the best work I can create.

I’m truly sorry for having to take a week off.

I’ll return with the next chapter.

⛔️ Warning: This post contains spoilers for Tomb Raider King and Solo Max-Level Newbie‼️

Ever since Tomb Raider King: End Line was announced, I’ve had an interesting theory.

The manhwa ended with Seo Joo-Heon marrying only Irene, while in the novel he eventually marries both Irene and Lee Seol-Ah.

After reading the sequel preview, where Joo-Heon and Irene’s unborn daughter suddenly disappears due to some mysterious scheme or fate, I couldn’t help but think of Solo Max-Level Newbie. In that series, Jinhyuk marries Alice in the main timeline, and they have a son, Kang Yohan (the protagonist of the sequel, Solo Max-Level Newbie: Pureblood). According to fate, Kang Yohan is destined to die on a certain floor, and the only way to prevent that fate is through the intervention of his half-sister. Jinhyuk later marries Theresa in another timeline, where they have that daughter, who eventually travels to the main timeline to save her half-brother.

What if Tomb Raider King: End Line does something similar? Maybe Joo-Heon will eventually marry Lee Seol-Ah to overcome the crisis surrounding his daughter with Irene. That could also explain why the manhwa never showed his marriage to Seol-Ah, unlike the novel.

It’s just a theory, but I think it would make perfect sense.

You could’ve waited until he finished off his enemy, but no🤦🏽‍♂️….. you had to interrupt him right before the final blow. Why do authors keep creating these annoying characters who act like they’re so important? 😭
