One month before the closure of the FatherFirst project, AB3D, alongside local health officials, conducted a community field visit on Saturday, 16 May 2026 to collect testimonies and document impact stories from families and fathers engaged in the initiative.

Through community dialogue, digital reminders, and local leadership coaching, FatherFirst continues to strengthen fathers’ involvement in child health, immunization, and primary healthcare in Burundi.

We are proud to launch FatherFirst, a 3-month AB3D initiative helping fathers become active partners in child health and immunization through community dialogues and simple voice/USSD reminders.

🚀 FatherFirst officially launched in Kabezi!

This saturday April 12, 2026, we are excited to kick off our FatherFirst initiative, starting with the training of community facilitators who will drive change on the ground.
This project carries a simple but powerful vision: engaging fathers as active partners in their children’s health and well-being. Because when fathers step in, families grow stronger and children thrive.
In Kabezi, our first change-makers are now ready 💪
They will soon lead Imiryango Circles; safe spaces to spark dialogue, challenge norms, and promote shared responsibility within families.
This is just the beginning… but the change has already started.
