On this day in 1950, Brahmswarup Shastriji Maharaj appointed Pramukh Swami Maharaj at the tender age of 28 as the president of the BAPS organization. The exact location was Ambli Vali Pol (on the outskirts of Amdavad) where Shastriji Maharaj draped a saffron-colored shawl around the shoulders of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and instructed him to be guided by the wisdom of Brahmswarup Yogiji Maharaj.

Pramukh Varni Din is not only a time to pay homage to a great spiritual leader, but also a chance to seek inspiration and guidance for one's personal spiritual journey. It reminds us of the values he lived by - humility, love, and unwavering faith in God. Through his exemplary life, Pramukh Swami Maharaj inspired millions to live a purposeful and meaningful life rooted in spirituality.

Members from the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple of Bahrain visited King Hamad Global Center for Coexistence and Tolerance in Manama to sign a Pledge of Loyalty and Allegiance to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The gathering reflected the community's appreciation for the Kingdom's leadership and its commitment to the values of unity, coexistence and mutual respect that continue to make Bahrain a welcoming home for people of diverse backgrounds.
