⁨ لقطات من مشاركة متحف مسرح الدمى في مهرجان مسرح الطفل الأردني ١٩، تحت رعاية وزارة الثقافة الأردنية. تضمنت المشاركة عروض ظل وخيال مسرحي، إلى جانب متحف جوّال يضم مجموعة متنوعة وغنية من الدمى. سعدنا بلقاء الجمهور الجميل والعمل مع فريق مسرح الطفل الأردني في وزارة الثقافة.

Highlights from the participation of the Amman Puppet Theatre Museum in the 19th Jordanian Children’s Theatre Festival, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of Jordan. The participation included shadow puppet performances, along with a mobile museum showcasing a rich and diverse collection of puppets. We were delighted to meet the wonderful audience and to collaborate with the Jordanian Children’s Theatre team at the Ministry of Culture.⁩

We were delighted to present our shadow puppet performance “This Is Amman” at Al-Ahliyya & Al-Mutran School earlier this month.
It’s always a joy to meet such excited and brilliant students, as well as the wonderful teachers and staff!

Earlier this month, the Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation / Amman Puppet Theatre delivered a training workshop on “Theatre Management” in Bahrain.

The workshop was organized in collaboration with the British Council and the Bahrain Theatre Union Association.

It was a pleasure meeting and engaging with the Bahraini theatre community, and exchanging experiences on sustainability and management with local practitioners!

لقطات من مساق تصنيع دمية الكف ضمن برنامج الإقامة الفنية لمدرسة عمان السنوية للدمى 2024، حيث قدم الفنان فيصل العزة للمشاركين رحلة إبداعية شاملة لمراحل التصنيع، شملت نحت ملامح الوجه، وقص الأقمشة، وتقنيات الخياطة، وصولًا إلى تلبيس الدمى وتلوينها، محولين المواد الخام إلى شخصيات نابضة بالحياة.

‎‏Scenes from the hand puppet-making course within the 2024 annual artistic residency program of the Amman School of Puppets, where artist Faisal Al-Azzeh guided participants through a creative journey covering all stages of puppet-making. This included carving facial features, cutting fabrics, sewing techniques, and finally dressing and painting the puppets, transforming raw materials into lifelike characters.

في ختام تدريبات الإقامة الفنية لمدرسة عمان السنوية للدمى 2024، استضفنا الفنان يزن شحروري، الذي شاركنا تجربته في العمل كمحرك دمى في مخيمات اللجوء. تحدث يزن عن تحديات اللجوء وتشكيل المخيمات، وسلّط الضوء على الدور الهام الذي تلعبه الدمى في التخفيف من وطأة الظروف الصعبة، خاصة في تقديم الدعم النفسي والمعنوي للأطفال اللاجئين. كما تناول كيفية الاستفادة من المواد المعاد تدويرها لصنع الدمى والديكورات، مما يضفي بُعدًا إبداعيًا وبيئيًا على العمل المسرحي.

At the conclusion of the 2024 annual artistic residency training for the Amman School of Puppets, we hosted artist Yazan Shahrouri, who shared his experience working as a puppeteer in refugee camps. Yazan discussed the challenges of displacement and the formation of camps, highlighting the significant role puppets play in alleviating difficult circumstances, especially in providing psychological and emotional support for refugee children. He also explored ways to utilize recycled materials in creating puppets and set designs, adding a creative and environmental dimension to the theatrical work.

سعدنا اليوم بالزيارة الكريمة التي تلقيناها في متحف مسرح الدمى، حيث استقبل المشاركون في مدرسة عمان السنوية للدمى 2024 وفدًا من وزارة الخارجية النرويجية، الداعمين للمشروع. كانت فرصة فريدة للقاء المدربين والطلاب ومشاهدة ورش العمل أثناء النشاط.

We were delighted with the gracious visit we had today at the Puppet Theater Museum, where participants in the 2024 annual Amman School of Puppets welcomed a delegation from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supporters of the project. It was a unique opportunity to meet the trainers and students and observe the workshops in action.
