Hey let me introduce my merpals Nok, Nod, Nix, Nir, and Nor, they are always by my side 😌
For me, this project also became a way to overcome a major creative block, helping me slow down, focus on making, and reconnect with the joy of the creative process. 🌊
“By Your Side” is a figure series centered on companionship, emotional grounding, protection, and presence rather than “fixing.” The collection features five characters, each inspired by mythology and symbolizing aspects of water, care, rest, transformation, playfulness, and emotional support.
Blending water-spirit folklore, designer toy aesthetics, and 1930s-40s character design, the series takes the form of mermaid-like creatures.
