As our event is drawing closer, we have received some inquiries about the reasons that one of our previous partcipating teams had withdrawn and on what basis.

Team Malaysia , consisting of Momo Rex and Ezard Bob Zuhaili, were withdrawn from the competition.
The reason that their participation has been delayed to 2025 is because our Malaysia Foundation partners were not able to fulfil their end of the contract and provide the adequate funding that was necessary to facilitate the team to join this year's competition. After much discussion with our team , we have graciously decided to delay their participation to 2025.
Moving forward, the upcoming selections for ACWS in Malaysia will be focused for the year 2026 instead

As such, we request everyone's understanding and not spread baseless rumors about our partners and participants.

We are looking forward to welcome Team Malaysia in the year 2025 to AnimeS Cosplay World Stars 🙏🙇‍♀️

'the land Down Under please welcome Chris and Matt

Of all the cosplay duos in Australia, Chris and Matt are by far one of them. Matt and Chris were Team Australia for the 2021 World Cosplay Summit. Where they shocked the cosplay community of the world with their cardboard heads, bizarre comedy and confusing references.

Matt (aka TallJoke) has been cosplaying since 2007. When Death Note and Naruto cosplayers plagued every corner of the convention hall. What Matt lacks in sewing skills and graceful posing, he makes up for with his unique skits that leave the audience saying “Wait, what?” His favourite costumes are Wario and Dr. Eggman. Outside of cosplay, Matt is an actor of the stage and screen, and also reviews Transformers on youtube.

Chris (aka ElvisDitto) has been in the cosplay game for almost a decade now, debuting as Red from Pokemon. His favourite costumes are Him from the Power puff Girls and Waluigi from Super Mario Bros. Chris recently finished his Masters in filmmaking and works on creating games in his spare time.

They can’t wait to explore Bulgaria and entertain the crowds at AnimeS Cosplay World Stars 2024!
