For the first .ofthegarden project, she created 40 unique hand-painted clay birds and placed them at various locations around Borisova Gardens in Sofia. For the second, she created 40 more birds and placed them in Zaimov Park. Now it's time for the third phase - a three-part pre-Christmas special that will see birds appearing in three different downtown gardens, beginning with the City Garden
outside the National Theatre on Saturday 4 December. And continuing in the garden by the Church of the Seven Martyrs on Graf/Shishman on Sat 11 Dec - and Crystal Garden on Sat 18 Dec. Each bird carries a message inviting anyone who finds it to take it home, take a photo of it and post that photo on the .ofthegarden Instagram page. The birds are small, but they are brightly coloured and in most of the locations they are 'hiding in plain sight'. You might find one sitting under a park bench, on a stump, under a tree, on a picnic table, beside a pond ... If you do find one, please do take up the invitation on the message and take it home, photograph it, give it a name and share your photo on the Instagram page - where you'll also find photos taken by others participating in this interactive project. The birds are made from air-dried clay so that those which aren't found will slowly degrade and return to the earth from which they are made.Future .ofthegarden project will appear in other parks and public gardens around Sofia.
