I would like to thank all those who have supported Karaoke Bulgaria over the years

It all started in October 2012 at Jeans Bar Zlatari.

We have done many Karaoke parties at people's homes and then moved to Resident DJ and Karaoke at Paintball in Radevo.

I have now decided to call it a day, and Jeanette fully supports me in this decision

Finally, special thanks to Sean and Diane at Paintball, who supported us throughout the COVID years and beyond.

WOW.
What a great day at 🇬🇧Expats Club🇬🇧at paintball combat Bulgaria.
Started with breakfast and then ran into a Curryoke Birthday bash.

I would first like to thank Diane Fooks and Sean Guilfoyle for their hard work that makes this venue the top expat spot in the area.

Next of course its Tony Louise and Louise Anna for the bar and waitress service, and again Tony for his great quiz, which we would have won if it was not for an orange grove.....lol

And lastly to all you wonderful people that came and made the birthdays for Maggie Smith, Tony Louise and Jeanette Webb a day to remember, some sadly could not make it, maybe we will see you next time, the venue is open to everyone what ever colour, s*x creed or orientation.

This weeks covid report for Bulgaria.
Pro rata the vaccinated lead the way in all areas.
The infection rate among the vaccinated is about 8% higher than the not vaccinated while deaths and hospitalizations are about equal.
The R rate has dropped over the week now standing at R=0.71

Fines KAT: A new system will notify violations
The Ministry of Interior presented a new system that will notify violators in the presence of fines. How it will work and what you need to know – we will consider in this article.

Until recently, we could get the most up-to-date information about the fines from the traffic police mainly on the spot. In the online portal of the Ministry of Interior, a check was possible, but not of all types of fines. And the tickets arrived by mail, and often drivers did not receive notifications about it.

However, the new system aims to increase the collection of fines and therefore all possible methods of contacting violators will be used. Notification can be received both in case of issued slip, electronic slip, and in case of a penal decree. The notification will come via several channels – via SMS, email and Viber message. The ministry's website says that once the violation is processed, the new system will allow the owner of the car to receive a message in one of three ways. It is not clear whether this will be chosen in advance.

In order to make sure that this is not some kind of fraud, the Ministry of Interior announced in advance that the SMS will be entitled "Ministry of Interior: Violation - Vehicle", and it will contain information about the violation, the registration number of the car and the amount due.

The text of the message in Viber and by email will be longer and there will be two links. One will take you to the Secure Electronic Service System and the other – to the Portal for Administrative Services of the Ministry of Interior.

Will the fine be deemed to have been served when opening the message?

The answer is unambiguous and it is no. However, when opening the link to the Secure Electronic Service System (and registering in it), the penalty will be deemed to have been served. Registration in this system for individuals is done with an electronic signature or with a PIC issued by the NRA or NSSI.

Will it be possible to appeal electronically served fines?

The notices that violators will receive are not mandatory for implementation, but are informative. If you think that the sanction is not right, you will be able to challenge it in the familiar order and way.

How will the Ministry of Interior obtain our contact details?

Telephone number and e-mail are provided when submitting documents for replacement or issuance of a driver's license. However, if they do not have them, it is expected to happen on site in the next service.

How will the payment of a fine by the traffic police be made?

When opening the link to the Portal for electronic services of the Ministry of Interior, you will be able to see the violation and pay it immediately, even if it is currently unhandwritten. Payment is as before. You can also pay online with a bank card.

Protest in Yambol against the bad conditions in the municipal shelter for dogs (PHOTOS)

Zoo defenders gathered today for a protest in front of the municipal shelter for dogs in the Yambol village of Roza. They were joined by volunteers from the English community in the region. The discontent is against the poor conditions in which more than 50 animals are kept.

"The floor is not cemented, animals live in their f***s. Sheets that mimic a roof are not to the end of the cells, when it rains, everything goes inside. Outside everything is open when there is snow, everything is shining inside and the animals die of frost, "said the organizer of the protest Miglena Dermendzhieva.

Protesters are demanding that the municipal shelter be closed until it is brought to the right conditions. The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has also been approached about the problem. A committee of veterinarians from Yambol, Ruse, Razgrad and Stara Zagora was inspected at the shelter.

The new mayor of Tundzha municipality Stancho Stavrev pointed out that he is already aware of the problem and assured that all the prescriptions of the control bodies will be fulfilled.

"The legacy we receive from
the old management of the municipality regarding the care and treatment of animals is heavy. It is very important for us to obtain the objective opinion of the control authorities and to ensure that these animals are kept under normal conditions, "he said.

The results of the inspection are expected to be released within days. The municipality of Tundzha has already started a campaign for the adoption of dogs from the shelter.
