🔬 People often see research papers as pure science… data, graphs, statistics, experiments🧪 But for me, there is also an art hidden in every figure, every pathway, every color gradient, and every compiled result. 🎨🌱

Months and years go into performing experiments, collecting observations, analyzing molecules, and understanding plant responses… and then comes the final stage where the scientist quietly transforms into an artist, translating complex biological stories into visuals the world can feel and understand.

Don’t you think scientific figures are a form of art too? 💁🏻‍♀️

In our recently published paper in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry, for the first time, we identified the metabolomic, hormonomic, and transcriptomic signatures through which seaweed biostimulants help maize 🌽 survive drought stress.

We uncovered how these biostimulants reprogram plant metabolism, delay leaf senescence, maintain grain filling, and enhance stress resilience at a molecular level, revealing an intricate survival symphony unfolding silently inside the plant. 🌽✨

The most touching part? She tried to connect in the purest way she knew, by making something with her own hands, knowing that a handmade painting would mean more to me than anything else.

When a child expresses love through colors and strokes, it isn’t just a painting… it’s a hug on canvas. 💛 I will treasure this forever. Because this isn’t just an art, it’s a little heart reaching out in the most beautiful way 🥰

And the proud mother of this cute little bundle is my closest friend in this foreign lands 😇 Thank you Hrisi for everything ❤️
