Good morning all. Glad to give you good news. To say that my brother Raj is out of hospital I'm so happy.

Praise God for his continuing health.

Next year we plan to open the village Bar. In his honour it will be known as Raj's Bar.

To anyone collecting antique photographs. I buy and sell Victorian photos particularly interested in memento mori.

There's no way to warn people on eBay of scams so I'm posting here. I'm very upset by these con artists trying to rip people off, especially new collectors who don't have experience with old photographs.

Beware of photographs advertised as post mortem child. The exposure time in those days for film was long. For that reason, photographs were taken of children asleep so as not to create blur. These are being sold by unscrupulous sellers claiming these are post mortem. If you're unsure, send me the image and I will examine it.

Some sellers are faking photos by copying genuine ones. These are worthless reprints so don't be conned.

Use PayPal to pay for photos, you can claim money back if they're not genuine. Some sellers are trying to get around this by describing the photo as "new" and that means it's a reprint and not original.

When buying, look very carefully for damage. Spotting, fading and other damage reduces value by a lot.

About time I did some promoting for story lovers. My first novel is set in the future, but it isn't sci-fi, it's a story of what might happen if government and corporate greed continues to grow the way it has.

Set in 2055, there is a world government, controlled by corporate powers. They're only interested in money and power. They have decided to take over criminal activities and because they are the authorities, nothing can stop them. Government agencies control crime. Drugs, s*x, human meat and murder are business. Our story concentrates on MI 17, a sinister agency that exploits children for profit. That includes kidnapping, human experiments, meat and prostitution.

Naomi Wildman is abducted and sent to MI 17 Southampton. There she is brainwashed and allocated to Dormitory 13. There, she meets Jenny, her manager and since no girl survives beyond 12 years of age, Jenny is murdered by euthanasia and her deputy, Sarah who is ten takes over. Sarah is transferred out and Naomi is put in charge of Dorm 13.

Meet the girls: Wendy, the cruel bully and gang leader. Carly, her sidekick, Michelle who wets herself when scared, Samantha, who is hated as she is black. Zoe, the coward and Daisy who was lobotomised to control her. But the operation went wrong, leaving her with the mind of an infant.

Naomi must not only survive the horrors herself, but she has to keep her girls safe too. But the Rules are tough. Death is a common punishment, either you earn or you die a terrible death at the hands of sadists in the notorious studio 4.

Mike is the only adult in the girls lives. He works for MI17 and looks after the computer systems. He befriends the girls, helps the girls at the risk of his own life. But can he save them from the dreadful punishments given by the tribunals.

Book one is about Naomi, her abduction and early years in MI 17. Book two is about her promotion to manager, and how she struggles to perform her duties, yet keep her girls safe too.

Readers should be aware that this book is for adults only and has narratives that are disturbing, including foul language, graphic violence and distressing content.

Life has its ups and downs. I've been after the antique photo of marthe thiry for over a decade, hoping that the art dealer would finally sell it. He bought it for a few quid but says it's not for sale at any price.

Yesterday his car had trouble and he had no money,so he offered to sell the photo to me for £1200 provided I bought it that day.

Having just refitted the kitchen I was broke. I sent him £100 and said I would pay the balance within the week. This morning he said the garage doesn't have the parts until some weeks later by which time he would have enough money to pay for the car. As a result, the photo of marthe was no longer for sale.

What a let down. I've been pestering him to sell the photo since 2012. Now it's back to the drawing board. But one good thing has resulted: he told me that if ever he sells it, I would get first choice. He also said something very cryptic, that if anything should ever happen to him, he would make sure I got the photo of marthe.

For those who don't know the significance, marthe is the subject of one of my books, the most successful one I wrote.

Some people are quick to take and slow to give. Life in terms of cosmic time is fleeting, blip and all that matters is what we leave behind and how people remember us. That's all. My brother Raj once said you come with nothing and leave with f*CK all (my words not his, my brother is too polite to use bad language, while I've been through some rough times and learned but some habits die hard.)

I'm so impressed with Bulgaria. It's people are the kindest I've ever met. So impressed I want to give my friends here, the only family I really have, something back. And to have my brother as a key feature in this project.

So from my meagre pension, I took an old barn and am converting it into a bar and entertainment suite. With a licensed bar, bar snacks and entertainment. A pool table, comfortable seats, satellite TV, music system (2800 watts) dance club lighting effects, a dart board, chess, cards, a games console, a live band area etc. not to make a profit but provide somewhere where local people can come to relax.

Welcome to Raj's bar. If you're ever in haskovo about a year from now please visit us. It still needs customer toilets, building a sewer, installing plumbing, heating and garden lights, signage etc, concreting the patio was all of which on my pension will take another year or so before it can open. It's a mammoth task, but most dreams are. It will be the only bar for 30 odd miles around covering several villages. If it brings half the pleasure I want it to for people it'll be worth it. It's my thank you to my friends and family, especially my brother Raj Mehtab .

And it's all thanks to Dad. Who tolde that life is like a bank account; you do something good you get a credit. Something bad gives you a debit, and all that matters at the end is your bank balance. He may have left us 37 years ago this month, but to me he's still here. Still giving me counsel and advice. I'm still trying to be the son he wanted me to be. We should all respect our parents and give them our unconditional love.

Of course a bar needs patrons. So in a year or so, I hope that our new upcoming village bar will provide some welcome respite for you.

To anyone who thinks that dreams are impossible, I'm no superman. I'm not rich. I'm not special. I'm as ordinary as you and probably less intelligent verging on silly but If I can do it, so can you. Hang on to your dreams, all you need is perseverance and love and the will to succeed.

Sorry this is a long post. But if even one person is inspired it's worth it.

I'm posting some photos of the project for anyone interested. Hope you find them bringing out the positive in you.
