Flashback to the [d]arc awards in 2023.

Together with Light Bureau, we created a colourful light installation that turned many heads and sparked conversation.

The artwork was inspired by the Ballroom and Vogue scenes of the 1980s, where dance halls became welcoming spaces for the LGBTIQ+ community. Starting from the iconic disco ball, we deconstructed its familiar shape and reimagined it as a contemporary light object, filled with mysterious hues, layered textures and intriguing reflective surfaces.

A celebration of light, identity, movement and creative freedom.

For Turninn in Kópavogur, Vivalyte helped with a façade lighting concept that responds to the building's angular geometry — creating depth, rhythm and presence after dark.
