A guy with a fascination for grass cutters and explosions, a temperamental Italian aerialist fighting with a Spanish acrobat, a trumpet playing slackrope walker and a German popcore seller waking up from death. These are just five peculiar characters from the twelve-man collective. Le Cirque du Platzak mixes the atmosphere of the old circus with nouveau cirque peppered bij rough folk music.

🎻 Rauwslinger 🎻

Those who remember the early days of Platzak will remember Max initially behind the drums...

But alongside the rhythm, another passion was already growing:
the violin ✨

Entirely self-taught and guided by curiosity, instinct and countless hours of exploration, Max slowly developed a musical language of his own — one that eventually grew into Rauwslinger.

Inspired by Eastern European music, driven by sound and guided by feeling, Rauwslinger leads audiences through shifting sonic landscapes where tenderness and wildness meet.

Gentle yet fierce.
Intimate yet expansive.
Always deeply human ✨

Together with violin, guitar, synthesizer and drums, the band creates a sound that moves freely between worlds:
classical, folk, punk, jazz, pop, post-rock and drum ’n bass all finding unexpected ways to dance together 💥

Fragile melodies transform into restless energy.
Raw intensity gives way to moments of delicate beauty.
Music that may feel completely new...

🎲 BRETT’ZEL — Wooden Games 🎲

Alongside the show, the audience will also discover Brett’zel:
a playful world of handcrafted wooden games inspired by traditional street games from another time 🌿

bringing back the simple magic of play, from the days when children’s eyes were filled with curiosity and imagination instead of the pale blue glow of screens ✨

Ciao Brabant ✨

Before we announce the first projects of the festival… a little clarification:

Cirque du Platzak is not coming back as the old show.
That chaos, magic and glitter belonged to another era ❤️

Instead of rebuilding the past, we decided to create something new:
a festival gathering the projects born from the former members of the company.

Different forms. Same spirit.
Circus, music, performance, friendship and beautiful madness 🎪✨

And now… our first glimpse of the program of Platzak Festival:

🎭 **Platzak Kids Cabaret** 🎭

A cabaret created by the new generation of Platzak.
Fresh energy, unexpected acts, young madness and the same rebellious spirit that made the company what it was.

A new wave is arriving ✨

🤹 **Duo Viva La Vita** — presented by Circ Rodini 🤹

She is Katusha. He is Bepo.
Together they have survived countless adventures, disasters and questionable ideas — and somehow they keep coming back for more ✨

With their new show, they dive into the world of the traditional clown: music, acrobatics, chaos… and many bad ideas.

Because when Katusha and Bepo are on stage, things rarely go according to plan — fortunately, disaster looks very good on them ✨

Expect a show full of rhythm, surprises and acrobatic stunts following one another at high speed 💥

Dear friends and family,

After 8 years of travelling around and playing hundreds of shows in 15 countries, Cirque du Platzak has decided to take a break. We want to thank all the artists who worked with us the last years. Also we want to thank all the festivals and bookers that invited us.

And of course we want to thank YOU! Our audience for your applause and support!

All the artists of Cirque du Platzak will follow their own individual paths now. But don't be sad, in the future we will be back as a collective. We hope to see you in a few years, when our circus curtains open again!

Dear gypsies,

After shows in Germany and a short tour de France we are back to perform close to our home base.

We are returning to one of the best parties of the year: Gitannekesfoor 2018. For the 6th time we will return to this festival! We will give 3 shows during the whole festival, so time enough to enjoy all the bands, events and surprises of this party and see at least one of our KERMIZ shows.

It’s the 10th and last time of the Gitannekesfoor VZW, let’s come together and make this edition unforgettable!

Last Sunday we played our show in at Sinjor Circo in Antwerp. All the nationalities of the district Luchtbal came outside to enjoy the nice weather and our show. At the moment we are already busy to prepare our next performance, the truck is packet and flight tickets are booked, destination Warsaw Poland! On Saturday and Sunday we will play at Festiwal Sztuka Ulicy.
Poland is the 13th Country where we will perform, Wszyscy Witani !!
