🎭 ONLY THREE DAYS LEFT — AND JUST A FEW AUDITION SPOTS REMAIN! 🎭

The SHAPE Performing Arts School is wrapping up auditions and interviews for our 2026–2027 season, and there’s still time to find your place on our stage!

Whether your young performer is already comfortable under the lights or has never stepped onstage before, we want to meet them. We’re looking for young people ready to act, sing, dance, create, learn, take risks, make friends and become part of a theatre community.

🎭 Only a few interview/audition appointments remain.

Our season includes opportunities for performers of different ages and experience levels — you do NOT need to arrive polished or perfectly prepared. We want to discover who you are, what excites you, and where you might fit into the year ahead.

🎭 AND THAT’S A WRAP! 🎭

The wigs are back on their heads. The swords have been sheathed. The crowns, puppets, skulls, severed hands, musical instruments and assorted nonsense are heading back into storage. Even Shakespeare himself can finally get some rest.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) has officially closed at SHAPE Players!

Over four days, our three wonderfully fearless performers threw themselves headfirst into the Bard—racing through comedies, histories and tragedies with an absurd number of characters, costume changes, props, accents, deaths and increasingly questionable interpretations of Shakespeare.

And behind every bit of apparent chaos was a LOT of carefully organized chaos. Looking at the stage after closing, you get a glimpse of just how many little pieces went into making three people somehow take on the complete works of William Shakespeare.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out and laughed with us. Live theatre only really exists when there is an audience there to share it, and having you in the room made all of this glorious silliness worthwhile.

Thank you to our performers, crew, volunteers and everyone who helped get this ridiculous little theatrical machine onto the stage.

One show down. A whole season still to come.

🔥 TWO PERFORMANCES LEFT! 🔥

There are only two more chances to catch SHAPE Players’ The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)!

Our three fearless performers have spent the weekend changing costumes at terrifying speed, dying repeatedly, swapping genders, mangling histories, slaughtering tragedies, abusing Shakespeare’s greatest characters, and generally doing things to the Bard that would probably get us banned from the Globe.

And judging by these photos, they are having entirely too much fun doing it.

Come spend one last weekend with this wonderfully ridiculous trio as they race through comedies, histories, tragedies—and pretty much everything else Shakespeare managed to write—in one gloriously unhinged evening.

🎭 IT’S OPENING NIGHT! 🎭

Last night we put The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) in front of an audience for the first time at our Pay What You Can Preview.

And, thankfully, people laughed. A LOT. 😂

So apparently we’re going to keep doing it.

Join the SHAPE Players TONIGHT at 7 PM as we attempt the completely reasonable task of cramming Shakespeare’s comedies, histories, tragedies—and pretty much everything else—into one gloriously ridiculous evening.

⭐ Featuring Rooslana Rusk, Jennifer Workman, and David Gary, throwing themselves headfirst into Shakespeare with very little regard for dignity, historical accuracy, or personal safety.

🎙️ Kate Walker Garner creates the madness alongside them with live Foley sound effects—because apparently Shakespeare wasn’t chaotic enough already.

And this production has also been a chance for the next generation of SHAPE theatre artists to take the reins. Students from our Performing Arts School have taken on major production responsibilities, including lighting design, stage management, and backstage work, helping bring the entire show to life.

There will be Shakespeare. There will be terrible wigs. There will be puppets. There will be blood. There will be questionable scholarship.

And judging from last night, there will be laughter.

USAG Benelux will observe the 25th anniversary of the events of September 11, 2001 with a 3K/5K Run-Ruck-Walk and Memorial Ceremony at Chièvres Air Base.

🎭 INTERVIEW SIGN-UPS ARE UNDERWAY — AND WE’RE ALREADY AT 65! 🎭

The response to the SHAPE Performing Arts School 2026–2027 season has been fantastic: we already have 65 student sign-ups across our various classes and programs!

And there’s still time to join them.

If you haven’t scheduled your child’s audition/interview yet, now is the time. Whether they’re returning to the SHAPE stage or trying theatre for the very first time, we’d love to meet them.

This fall’s opportunities include:

🎄 The Best Christmas Pageant Ever — Ages 8–18
📖 Fractured Fairytales — Ages 5–7
🎭 Teen One-Act Project — Our student-led teen theatre project, with the production intended for consideration for a one-act festival in Wiesbaden, Germany

📅 Remaining interview dates: August 18–21 & August 31–September 4
🕑 Interview times: 2:00–6:30 PM

Students receive age-appropriate audition/interview material to prepare in advance. No previous theatre experience is required. We want to meet young people who are ready to explore, create, build confidence, make friends, and discover what they can do.
