Cristo Redentor, het Christusbeeld in Rio de Janeiro, wordt beschouwd als het grootste Art Deco-beeldhouwwerk ter wereld. Als één van de zeven wereldwonderen kon het niet ontbreken op het Zandsculpturen Festival. Het is een prachtig monument van Jezus Christus dat op de Corcovado berg staat en over de stad waakt. Het is een symbool van geloof, hoop en inspiratie. Het beeld straalt vrede, liefde en genade uit naar de stad en de wereld.
