HAPPY INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY , Jazzladies !!!

I use this opportunity to announce that as of next July 1st , BWIJ will start with a new project : 'BWIJ-PHOTOGRAPHY' .
We will concentrate on making pictures of FEMALE jazz-performers ( vocalists , musicians , etc. ) in concert , and during other presentations .
Also we'll do studio-photography of indivividual and groups of females in jazz .
This is a service for members AND non-members .
BWIJ is a member of SOFAM - Brussels .

🎹 It's World Piano Day! That calls for a spotlight on 'our' Nathalie Loriers jazzpiano player. You can see her playing three nights in a row this week, starting tonight at CAPE - Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (LU) with our project 'Gainsbourg'.

💙 Nathalie not only takes her seat behind the piano, but also arranged a song for 'Gainsbourg': 'Les Goémons', a personal favourite of Camille Bertault. Come and hear it for yourself!

28 feb - In Utrecht wordt tijdens Internationale Vrouwendag op 8 maart de tweede editie van Women In Jazz gehouden, een initiatief van BIMpro dat deze keer de titel Transition To Equality meekrijgt en georganiseerd wordt in samenwerking met TivoliVredenburg en het Transition Festival.

She was a good friend andalso worled with Billie 'Lady Day' Holiday ...
Billie used to stay with her when she was in France in 1958 + 1959 .
