**Why progressive house?** 🌌

For more than 20 years now, progressive house has been about one thing for me: **freedom**.

Freedom to follow a mood, rather than a formula.

It can be warm and uplifting, deep and emotional, dark and introspective, melodic and dreamy... or driving, hypnotic and built for a dark club after midnight.

Sometimes I want the music to breathe — to let a breakdown unfold, give a melody the space it deserves, or let the right vocal completely change the atmosphere.

And sometimes I want exactly the opposite: a relentless groove, a beat that keeps going, tracks building on each other and pulling you deeper into the music.

I love that both can exist within progressive house.

That freedom also affects the way I mix. My mood, the setting and the music I connect with at that moment all play a part. A warm summer evening can result in a completely different mix than one recorded in the middle of the night when I'm in a darker mood.

So if you listen closely, I guess there's always a little bit of me in there too.

There's another part of mixing I've always valued: knowing when not to add something.

I'm quite selective with effects. Producers create tracks with their own ideas, atmosphere and emotion, and very often I simply want to let that speak for itself.

For me, DJing doesn't always mean adding more. Sometimes it's about finding the right track, playing it at the right moment and giving it the space to do what it was made to do.

Effects absolutely have their place — the right one at the right moment can add something special. I just prefer to use them sparingly.

**Sometimes the track already says everything it needs to say.**

And maybe all of this explains **Constellations** better than I ever have before. 🌌

It's a place where all those different sides of progressive house — and probably different sides of myself — can exist.

Warm. Melodic. Deep. Emotional. Dark. Hypnotic. Driving.

Whatever feels right at that moment.

What is it about progressive house that keeps you coming back to it?

The past 4 days I've been watching a lot of videos from Balance Croatia and I have to admit... it made me really happy. 😊

Of course there's the music, but also the whole atmosphere around it. Seeing artists supporting and enjoying each other's sets, sharing moments together... and also seeing young, upcoming DJs and producers like Lloyd Barwood and Maze 28 making their way and being embraced by artists they probably looked up to themselves.They are literally living the dream and it's great to watch that journey unfold. 😊

And then there's that crowd. That progressive house crowd.❤️

That atmosphere actually reminded me a lot of . The music, the people, the openness... that feeling of being part of something. 🌿

Balance Croatia has been on my bucket list for quite some time. I've never been there, but I definitely will and I already have a pretty special reason to make that happen in a few years... 😉🌴

But before that, there are two dates I'm really looking forward to.

☀️ 29/08 Labyrinth Belgium Open air at Park Fort Liezele

Nick Warren, Guy J, Pole Folder, Miss Melera, Olivier Weiter... artists who have all graced the Bomgärden stage. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this one. 🎶

And the day after, for the first time in Progressiva 🌟

Organised by Belgian progressive DJ & producer Alain Pauwels , with Pole Folder , Alex O'Rion' and several other great names on the line-up.

I'm really happy to see things like this happening in Belgium, and I'll definitely be there to support the scene, because that's what I love about progressive house: there's always another journey waiting.💫

And talking about journeys...

Lloyd is a great example of that. Hard work first and then seeing him getting picked up by artists like Sasha and Danny Howells , playing B2Bs, collaborating and simply enjoying every moment of the journey... he's literally living the dream and it's great to watch that journey unfold. 😊

And then there's that crowd. That progressive house crowd.❤️

From daylight to darkness — driven entirely by sound, connection and crowd energy — from the first record to the last.

Across the entire journey, every DJ behind the decks contributed to the same story in their own way. Different styles, different perspectives, one continuous experience I won’t forget.

This was not a collection of sets. It was a shared flow from start to finish.

As promised, here is my closing set from BOMGÄRDEN .

What an unforgettable journey it was to close such a special day.

Thank you to everyone who stayed, danced, listened and shared those final moments with me. Seeing so many familiar faces on the dancefloor meant more than words can express. ❤️

Progressive house has always been about the journey for me. Not every track has to hit instantly. Sometimes the most beautiful discoveries are the tracks that stay with you and reveal themselves over time.

This set reflects exactly that philosophy.

From emotional melodies and vocals during the first hour, to a more uplifting final chapter, this was the story I wanted to tell that night.

For those who were there: thank you for making it unforgettable.

For those who couldn't make it: I hope you enjoy the ride.

And whatever you do, fall forward ;-)

Still smiling when looking back at Bomgärden. ☺️

What a day.

Closing this year's edition after , Guy J and was an absolute honour and a moment I will never forget.

Thank you to everyone who stayed, danced, listened and shared those final hours with me. Seeing so many familiar faces on and around the dancefloor meant more than I can put into words.❤️

As a DJ, you always hope people connect with the music. Last Saturday felt exactly like that. A journey shared together.

I'm grateful for every conversation, every smile and every person who helped make this edition so special.

Thank you BOMGÄRDEN for the trust.🙏

Thank you to all DJ's, volunteers and crew members who made this possible.

And thank you to everyone who was part of the journey.
