Toute une facette de mon art prend racine dans l’architecture. Cet été, dans le cadre de ma collaboration avec le bureau d’architecture liégeois , nous avons réalisé une première intégration d’art dans l’architecture transitoire que constitue un chantier de construction. Fruit d’une volonté commune d’explorer les interactions possibles entre l’art et l’espace bâtit, notre premier choix a été porté sur ‘230RAE’, un projet de requalification d’un ancien moulin agricole.

Mon intervention porte sur l’imposante porte d’entrée de l’ancienne construction. Dans la lignée de mes précédents travaux, j’ai choisi 8 panneaux de polycarbonate comme médium, interface entre intérieur et extérieur où passe la lumière. L’oeuvre est un hommage à quelques pilotes belges de F1.

A whole facet of my art is rooted in architecture. This summer, as part of my collaboration with the Liège-based architecture studio , we carried out a first integration of art into the transitory architecture of a construction site. As a result of a shared desire to explore the possible interactions between art and built space, our first choice was ‘230RAE’, a project for the requalification of an old agricultural mill.

My intervention focuses on the imposing front door of the old building. In line with my previous work, I chose 8 polycarbonate panels as a medium, for being the interface between internal and external space. The work is a tribute to a number of Belgian F1 drivers.
