Wauw - onze 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤-𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐞 '𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 & 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞' op de Summit of LOV 2030 zat vol energie, gesprek en verbeelding.

𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 & 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐳𝐨𝐞𝐤𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐚𝐦 𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐭. Binnen Culture & Care verkennen we samen welke rol kunst en cultuur daarin kunnen spelen voor mens en samenleving.

Het werd een open en inspirerend werkmoment waarin ideeën snel begonnen te stromen - van concrete inzichten tot wilde dromen voor Leuven en ver daarbuiten.

Of zoals Sieg Pauwels het mooi samenvatte: "het ging van riolen en boten tot zeepaardjes en steigers om iedereen aan boord te krijgen". 🚤

Wat blijft hangen: er zit veel beweging in dit verhaal. En dat willen we verder brengen.

👉 𝐃𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐰𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐩 𝐰𝐨𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝟏 𝐣𝐮𝐥𝐢 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝟏𝟔𝐮𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨𝐭 𝟏𝟖𝐮𝟎𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧. Samen vertalen we ideeën naar concrete acties en samenwerking in de praktijk.

Vandaag werken we met het team aan onze break-out sessie op de Summit of LOV in Leuven. De gedeelde positieve energie zit er helemaal in - en we kijken echt ernaar uit om dit met jullie te delen.

👉 Op 19 mei gaan we aan de slag rond één centrale vraag:
Hoe creëren we een zorgzame omgeving waarin mensen en gemeenschappen kunnen floreren? En welke rol kan cultuur daarin spelen?

We creëren een verrassende en dynamische sessie met ruimte voor uitwisseling, ideeën en concrete volgende stappen.

Culture & Care op de Summit of LOV - 19 mei 2026 in Leuven

Tijdens de Culture & Care conferentie ‘A Joint Call for Change’ gebeurde er in Leuven iets bijzonders: een gedeelde energie tussen mensen met een hart voor zorg en cultuur.

Alsof we collectief voelden: dit is nog maar het begin.

Het Body & Soul-team in Leuven zet die energie nu om in actie.

👉 Op 19 mei zetten we de volgende stap met een break-out sessie op de Summit of LOV.

Centraal vertrekpunt:
Hoe kunnen zorg en cultuur samen écht impact maken voor mens en samenleving?

Wat mag je verwachten?
We creëren ruimte om:
- inzichten uit de conferentie te verdiepen
- initiatieven in Leuven en de regio te verbinden

Culture & Care at the Summit of LOV - 19 May 2026 in Leuven

During the Culture & Care conference ‘A Joint Call for Change’ in Leuven, something special happened: a shared energy between people with a heart for care and culture.

As if we collectively felt: this is only the beginning.

The Body & Soul team in Leuven is now turning that energy into action.

👉 On 19 May, we take the next step with a break-out session at the Summit of LOV.

How can care and culture truly make an impact for people and society?

- deepen insights from the conference

“𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒅𝒐 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 – 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒇 𝒖𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒐 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈.”

With these words, Nobel Peace Prize nominee Izzeldin Abuelaish closed the first day of 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻. It was more than a keynote – it was a call to action.

Over two days, more than 350 participants and 70 speakers from culture and care came together around one shared mission: 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.

There is still work to do. Structural collaboration and sustainable funding remain crucial. But the commitment is there. The urgency is there. The momentum is there.

This conference was not an endpoint.
We continue – in Leuven, in Flanders, across Europe.

Because each of us can do something.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞?

At the conference 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 & 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞: 𝐀 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, this workshop explores how the climate transition is not only an environmental challenge, but also a care challenge — deeply connected to our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.

Using the 𝐋𝐞𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 as a lens, we look at what it takes to drive large-scale change: shared leadership, collaboration, collective responsibility and a strong narrative that moves people beyond data alone.
