CONGRATULATIONS AND MANY THANKS TO the organizers, Alina Makarova, Elena Grigorescu, Bie Terweduwe and Esmiralda Timraliyeva as well as their coordinator, Professor Kris Van Heuckelom and partners of this exhibition: the Catholic University of Leuven, Leitmotif, LOKO and the Embassy of Ukraine in Belgium.

Raising the curtain explores through three different lenses visual representations of lifestyle and landscape of Eastern Europe after the Cold War. The exhibition gathers the work of a young generation of artists, Join the Cool, Jędrzej Franek and Norihiro Haruta, putting in the spotlight three decades after the end of Communism.
