GEWOON DOEN

Twee jaar dakloos. Acht keer verhuisd. En toch blijf ik bouwen.

Op 4 april stond ik op een podium in Londen voor mijn boek.
Vandaag? Dozen overal. AI leren. Calls nemen. Gewoon doorgaan.

En tussendoor kwam mijn metekindje.
Ze was mij aan het versieren met slingertjes en gewoon aan het spelen… en ik deed mee.

Dat zijn ook de momenten die tellen.

Ze zei dat ze later ook een boek wil schrijven. Dat raakte mij.

En terwijl ik weer aan het verhuizen ben, kwam mijn vriend en mentor voor mijn Nederlandse boek helpen.

Het leven is niet perfect. Het is rommelig en echt.
Maar de juiste mensen komen op het juiste moment.

Je wacht niet.
Je doet het gewoon.

DO IT ANYWAY

Two years homeless. Eight moves. Still building.

On April 4th I stood on a stage in London for my book.
Today? Boxes everywhere. Learning AI. Taking calls. Growing anyway.

In between all that, my godchild came over.
She was playing, decorating me with little strings… and I just let her. I played along.

Those moments matter too.

She told me she wants to write a book one day. That hit me.

And while I’m moving again, my friend and mentor for my Dutch book showed up to help.

Life isn’t perfect. It’s messy, chaotic, real.
But the right people show up. The right moments happen.

You don’t wait.
You just do it.

Showing up naar glowing up

Van buiten lijkt het misschien: “yes, nieuw appartement, leuke vibe 💃”

Maar laat me eerlijk zijn.

Het was niet gemakkelijk.
Het vinden niet.
Het verhuizen niet.
En nu… het uitpakken ook niet.

Ik ben moe. Echt moe.
Maar ik blijf opdagen. Elke dag opnieuw.

Want ja… ik krijg hulp onderweg, en daar ben ik dankbaar voor,
maar een groot deel van het werk blijft bij mij.

En ergens, tussen de chaos en de vermoeidheid… dacht ik: f**k it, laten we er wat fun in steken.

Muziek aan.
Badkamer poetsen.
En ineens… stond ik daar te dansen.

En weet je wat het voelde?

Alsof ik niet alleen mijn badkamer aan het schoonmaken was…
maar ook mijn hoofd.
Mijn energie.
Mijn hele aura.

Dat moment gaf me zo’n goed gevoel.

En dan vandaag… alsof het universum zei: “goed bezig.”
Kreeg ik gewoon een frigo en een stoomstrijkijzer cadeau.

Echt… cadeaus die uit de lucht vallen.

Dus ja… het is zwaar.
Ja, ik ben moe.
Maar ik blijf opdagen.

Elke dag een beetje.
Consistentie is key.

En ondertussen…

Showing up to glowing up

From the outside it might look like: “yes, new apartment, good vibes 💃”

But let me be honest.

It was not easy.
Finding it wasn’t easy.
Moving wasn’t easy.
And now… unpacking isn’t easy either.

I’m tired. Really tired.
But I keep showing up. Every single day.

Because yes… I do receive help along the way, and I’m grateful for that,
but a big part of the work still stays with me.

And somewhere, in the middle of the chaos and the exhaustion… I thought: f**k it, let’s make it fun.

Music on.
Cleaning the bathroom.
And suddenly… I found myself dancing.

And you know what it felt like?

Like I wasn’t just cleaning my bathroom…
but also my mind.
My energy.
My entire aura.

That moment felt so good.

And then today… like a little bonus from the universe:
I received a fridge and a steam iron.

Thank you mom, Henry and Veronique ❤️
Truly… gifts falling from the sky.

So yes… it’s hard.
Yes, I’m tired.
But I keep showing up.

A little every day.
Consistency is key.

And in the meantime…
I just keep dancing 💃

De Unboxing

Oh my God, ik zit hier tussen de dozen, aan het uitpakken, gewoon alles even in mij op te nemen. Ik ben eindelijk in mijn nieuwe plekje terechtgekomen. Er zijn nieuwe ramen gezet en eigenlijk nog zoveel meer in orde gebracht om dit echt klaar te maken, en nu ben ik hier. Ik zit te chillen, rustig uit te pakken, met meditatiemuziek op de achtergrond. Mensen komen af en toe helpen en dat maakt mij echt zo blij. Het voelt gewoon zo goed om hier te zijn.

En terwijl ik hier zo zit, ga ik in gedachten even terug. Eén jaar geleden leerde ik Andrew Funk kennen terwijl ik mijn boek aan het schrijven was. Ik had toen geen idee wat dat allemaal in gang zou zetten. Via Homeless Entrepreneur kwam ik bij de juiste mensen terecht, op het juiste moment. Met de begeleiding van Sir Marco Robinson, Andrew en Bart van Grinsven ben ik stap voor stap vooruit gegaan. Uit de dakloosheid geraakt, mijn boek volledig afgewerkt en zelfs in Londen gaan spreken.

En nu is het gewoon… wauw. Ik moet hier even van bekomen. Maar ik ben vooral enorm dankbaar.

The Unboxing

Oh my God, I’m sitting here between boxes, unpacking, just taking it all in. I’ve finally arrived in my new place. There have been new windows installed and so many other things done to get everything ready, and now I’m finally here. I’m chilling, unpacking, with my meditation music softly playing in the background. People come by to help me here and there, and it honestly makes me so happy. It feels so damn good to be here.

And when I sit with that feeling, my mind goes back. One year ago I met Andrew Funk while I was writing my book. I had no idea what that moment would turn into. Through Homeless Entrepreneur I found myself surrounded by the right people, at the right time. With the guidance and support of Sir Marco Robinson, Andrew and Bart van Grinsven, I slowly found my way forward. Step by step, out of homelessness, my book fully written, and I even stepped onto the stage in London to speak.

And now it’s just… wow. I need a moment to take it all in. I’m just deeply grateful.

Gasming is pure vrijheid

Er is een moment waarop je stopt met nadenken en gewoon begint te voelen. Waar lachen vanzelf komt, waar plezier geen uitleg nodig heeft en waar je even helemaal teruggaat naar wie je was als kind. Dat is gasming. Het zit in alles. In een hairgasm na een frisse knipbeurt. In een foodgasm wanneer elke hap perfect is. In een cargasm wanneer je naar buiten kijkt en een auto ziet die je raakt tot in je kern. In een soundgasm wanneer muziek je volledig meeneemt. En soms zelfs in een lachbui met vrienden die zo intens is dat het een echte laughgasm wordt.

Gasming is niet perfect zijn. Het is jezelf toestaan om te spelen, te voelen en te genieten zonder filter. Het is verbinden met je inner child en jezelf de vrijheid geven om gewoon te zijn. F**k wat anderen denken. Als jij plezier hebt, dan doe je het goed.

Gasming is pure freedom

There comes a moment where you stop thinking and just start feeling. Where laughter flows naturally, where joy needs no explanation, and where you reconnect with who you were as a child. That is gasming. It’s in everything. In a hairgasm after a fresh haircut. In a foodgasm when every bite feels just right. In a cargasm when you look outside and see something that hits you deep. In a soundgasm when music completely takes you over. And sometimes in a moment with friends where laughter becomes so intense it turns into a real laughgasm.

Gasming is not about being perfect. It’s about allowing yourself to play, to feel, and to enjoy life without a filter. It’s about connecting to your inner child and giving yourself permission to just be. F**k what other people think. If you’re having fun, you’re doing it right.
