unforget is an online gallery created in 2017 specialized in 20th century decorative arts.

The project is conceived by Eric Parduyns, art lover, collector of Murano glass, bronze objects and mirrors of Line Vautrin, well-built furniture and lighting.

A selection of three exceptional works by Seguso Vetri d’Arte, bringing together two generations of Murano design.

Two sculptural bottles designed by Flavio Poli, whose work for Seguso helped define the expressive language of post-war Italian glass, alongside a vase by Mario Pinzoni, who later continued the manufacture’s remarkable tradition of experimentation with form and colour.

Presented together, the three pieces reveal the distinctive character of Seguso Vetri d’Arte: bold silhouettes, sophisticated colour combinations and an exceptional mastery of blown glass.

“Vertèbre” Armchair by Pierre Vandel.
Pierre Vandel-Paris, France, 1972.

Designed in 1972 and produced in a limited edition of 600 examples, the “Vertèbre” armchair is one of Pierre Vandel’s most distinctive creations.

Its extraordinary construction is composed of a succession of individually upholstered elements, articulated along the seat and backrest like a spinal column — hence its evocative name, Vertèbre.

The original foam padding has been preserved and newly upholstered in brown Alcantara, carefully selected to recreate the appearance and texture of the original nubuck and suede. Each element is secured to a brushed aluminium framework, creating a striking contrast between the softness of the upholstery and the precise, industrial character of the metal.

With its dramatically articulated backrest, generous proportions and sculptural aluminium base, Vertèbre perfectly embodies the experimental spirit of French design in the early 1970s.

“Les Sept Péchés Capitaux” Bracelet by Line Vautrin (1913–1997), France, circa 1945.

Chiselled in gilt bronze, this articulated bracelet depicts the Seven Deadly Sins — lust, sloth, wrath, gluttony, greed, pride and envy — each represented by an expressive face.

The figures alternate with four links bearing the inscriptions “Les”, “Sept”, “Péchés” and “Capitaux”, transforming this traditional moral theme into a remarkably inventive piece of wearable sculpture.

A rare complete set of five “Pulcini” by Alessandro Pianon.

Designed by Alessandro Pianon for Vistosi in Murano in 1962, the celebrated Pulcini series is among the most distinctive creations of post-war Italian glass design.

Each bird presents a unique sculptural form and combination of colours, enriched with hot-applied murrines and resting on characteristic hammered copper legs.

The five examples correspond to models S190, S189, S192, S193 and S191, as recorded in the Vistosi archives.

Presented together and preserved in very good original condition, they form a particularly rare complete set of Pianon’s iconic Pulcini.

“Jalousie” by Line Vautrin

A miniature scene of secrecy and curiosity.

Chiselled in gilt bronze, Jalousie depicts a tiny figure discreetly peering through the slats of a louvered shutter — seeing without being seen.

With characteristic wit and poetry, Line Vautrin transforms a simple paperweight into a subtle play on the double meaning of jalousie: both jealousy and the slatted screen through which one can secretly observe the world.

Josef Hoffmann for Thonet — Model No. 511
Austria, circa 1907–1910.

An icon of Viennese modernism.

Designed by Josef Hoffmann for Thonet, the Model No. 511 perfectly captures the transition from the decorative language of the Vienna Secession towards a new, radically modern conception of furniture.

Its remarkably slender silhouette combines Hoffmann’s rigorous geometric vocabulary with Thonet’s extraordinary mastery of bentwood: elongated vertical lines, subtle curves and the distinctive circular perforations of the backrest create a design of striking lightness and elegance.

More than a century after its creation, the Model No. 511 remains one of Hoffmann’s most celebrated designs — and a landmark of Austrian decorative arts.

Our particularly harmonious suite comprises four side chairs and two armchairs, preserved with their original shaped wooden seats.

Some objects do not simply reflect light—they seem to contain it.

“Laine” by Timo Sarpaneva for Venini, designed in 1991 and executed in 1994, is among the most lyrical creations from the Finnish designer’s celebrated collaboration with the historic Murano glassmaker.

Inspired by the tranquil landscapes of Finland, Laine transforms water, horizon and northern light into a sculptural composition of remarkable purity. Its generous, rounded silhouette is animated by delicate transitions of translucent and transparent blue glass, ranging from deep cobalt to pale icy tones. These subtle gradations create an extraordinary sense of depth and atmosphere, inviting the viewer to experience the changing qualities of light itself.

Entirely hand-blown at the Venini furnace, the vase demonstrates exceptional technical mastery. Behind its apparent simplicity lies a sophisticated understanding of glass as a medium capable of capturing and transforming light.

Engraved beneath the base “Venini 94 Sarpaneva”, this example was executed in 1994 and beautifully illustrates the dialogue between Scandinavian restraint and the expressive richness of Murano glass.

“Yokohama” Vase by Aldo Nason (1920–2020) for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.Ve.M.), Murano, Italy, circa 1959.

Among Aldo Nason’s earliest and most accomplished creations, the Yokohama series perfectly illustrates the artistic renewal of Murano glass during the late 1950s.

Its elegant tapering silhouette opens into a distinctive bifid rim, while two contrasting worlds unfold across its surface: a vibrant cascade of ruby-red glass enriched with concentric millefiori murrines, and a deep cobalt-blue field illuminated by shimmering inclusions of gold and copper leaf suspended beneath the crystal-clear glass.

Entirely hand-blown at the A.Ve.M. furnace, the vase showcases the extraordinary technical mastery required to unite coloured overlays, metallic leaf and murrine decoration into a single harmonious composition. Rather than serving as isolated decorative effects, these traditional Venetian techniques merge seamlessly into a sculptural work where colour, texture and light become inseparable.

Signed with the diamond point beneath the base, this early example embodies Aldo Nason’s remarkable contribution to twentieth-century Murano glass and remains one of the defining creations of his career.

“Tuuli” Decanter with Stopper, designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Venini Murano, Italy, 1990 — executed in 1991.

A striking dialogue between Scandinavian minimalism and the extraordinary craftsmanship of Murano glass.

Deep black, luminous cobalt blue and a subtle band of clear crystal define the sculptural silhouette of “Tuuli” — a refined balance of colour, light and form.

Entirely hand-blown at the Venini furnace, this example belongs to the earliest years of production of the series.

🌿 “Cannabis” or “The World of Plants” — Line Vautrin

A rare and emblematic gilded bronze box by Line Vautrin, circa 1945–1950.

Finely chiseled, the lid reveals a mysterious botanical composition: a central plant whose leaves, veins and roots radiate symmetrically, framed by connected circles and arrows like a secret symbolic language.

Organic, enigmatic and almost sacred, the composition reflects Line Vautrin’s fascination with nature, symbolism and the plant kingdom.

The original patina beautifully accentuates the intricate chiseling of the bronze.

Signed on the reverse “LINE VAUTRIN”.
