Introducing the winner of our Open Call for the visual identity of Czech Street Party 2026!🎨🕺

From all the submitted designs, the expert jury selected the winning work of Adéla Janatová, a graphic design student at the Faculty of Art and Design at UJEP in Ústí nad Labem.

Adéla’s work is inspired by landscapes, algorithmic entities, and the hidden meanings of everyday symbols. She has long focused primarily on book design and explores processes of transformation and renewal in both digital and natural environments.

Congratulations to Adéla on her winning design, and thank you to everyone who participated in the open call.

👉 In our next post, we’ll showcase the other nine designs that made it into the TOP 10 selection.

The most beautiful Czech books of 2025 have their winners!📚✨

The prizes of the 61st edition were presented on June 2, 2026 at Studio Hrdinů in Veletržní palác in Prague. The jury honored, for example, a monograph about samizdat, a juvenile publication about Prague trams' "ancestral heritage," and an original poetry collection made from recycled quotes and song lyrics.

The competition has been organized since 1965 by the Memorial of National Literature and the Ministry of Culture, which cooperates with the Czech Centre Brussels on the BOOKSPACE project. Its spaces feature this year's nominated and awarded books as well as a selection from previous editions. Through this partnership, we showcase the best of Czech book design to audiences in the Benelux region.
