Zomergem maakt zich opnieuw op voor een spectaculaire wielerwedstrijd!

Op dinsdag 30 juni gaat het mannenkampioenschap van start. De renners krijgen een uitdagende omloop van 104,4 km voorgeschoteld (18 ronden van 5,8 km). Wie sprint als eerste over de finish en kroont zich tot kampioen?

Zomergem is once again gearing up for a spectacular cycling race!

On 30 June, the men’s championship gets underway. Riders will take on a demanding 104.4 km course, made up of 18 laps of 5.8 km. Who will be the first to cross the finish line and claim the title?

𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗔𝗡𝗕𝗢𝗗, 𝗧𝗜𝗝𝗗 𝗩𝗢𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗞𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧 🎉
Vandaag vinden de laatste groepssessies van ons reguliere sportaanbod plaats.

Het was fantastisch om week na week zoveel mensen in beweging te zien, verspreid over zoveel verschillende sporten. Een dikke proficiat en bedankt aan iedereen die opnieuw deel uitmaakte van het sportverhaal van KU Leuven 💙

Maar we zijn nog niet klaar! 👀 Bloksport staat voor de deur, dé ideale manier om ook tijdens de blok- en examenperiode actief, ontspannen en gefocust te blijven 🧠🔋

Today marks the final group sessions of our regular sports programme.

It’s been fantastic to see so many people staying active week after week across such a wide range of sports. A huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who once again helped shape the KU Leuven sports community 💙

But we’re not done yet! 👀 Bloksport is just around the corner, the perfect way to stay active, relaxed and focused throughout the revision and exam period 🧠🔋

🏆⚽ Meet FC Mon Jardin, this year’s recreational indoor football tournament champions!

After an impressive run throughout the tournament, the team capped it off in style with a dominant 7-1 victory over FC Spa in the final.

Huge congratulations to Ervand, George, Brent, Barek, Sajad, Enoch, Louie, David, and Guillaume on an incredible achievement!

Less sun, but high spirits ☀️🚴‍♂️ Yesterday’s social ride was once again a great success. More social rides are definitely coming in the future!

Oh, and one more thing: to wrap up this academic year’s cycling offer, we’re organising one more epic ride! This Friday, 22 May, we’ll be cycling from Leuven to Ostend on the Belgian coast 🌊: 166 km at a steady pace of around 30 km/h.
