The works of art nestle in the open space. Arpia challenges the artists to get to work with the natural and cultural landscape, in a creative, critical as well as respectful way, paying attention to the identity of the area. From a festival-like approach between 2010-2012, Arpia shifted to a more subtle role as a facilitator of art initiatives that strive to embed art in the valuable landscape, so

- Modern Menhirs (Maarten Vanden Eynde, 2010) - at the site of an old brick kiln at Kauwstraat 103, Sint-Lievens-Esse
