Klaas Kloosterboer (b. 1959) is a prominent Dutch artist known for his dynamic and experimental approach to art. His work, often multidisciplinary, explores the tension between abstraction and action, influenced by movements like Fluxus and Zero. Kloosterboer’s art is a physical experience, engaging in a cycle of construction, destruction, and reconstruction, challenging the boundaries between two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. He tests and reinvents his primary medium, painting, with each creation, pushing it to its limits to discover new expressions and forms. Kloosterboer’s innovative practices have been showcased internationally, marking him as a significant figure in contemporary Dutch art.

His work is included in Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, Centraal Museum Utrecht, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Dordrechts Museum, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Museum Voorlinden, Fries Museum, LAM Museum Lisse, Museum Beelden aan Zee, SCHUNCK, Textielmuseum, FENIX Landverhuizersmuseum Rotterdam and Kröller-Müller Museum.

The title 'Fiha ma fiha' draws on 'Fihi ma fihi' — literally, “Inside, what is inside” — a title attributed to a work of Persian prose by the 13th-century poet and mystic Jalāl al-Dīn Rūmī. Zolamian shifts the masculine fihi (“in him”) to the feminine fiha (“in her”), opening the phrase towards painting, the image, memory, interiority — and perhaps the exhibition itself.

In Arabic, fihi can also mean “there is,” while ma fihi suggests “there is not.” Presence and absence appear together: there is / there is not. Through its repetition and rhythmic structure, 'Fiha ma fiha' takes on the quality of a formula or incantation — something that acts before it is understood.

Christophe Lezaire (b. 1963, Brussels) is a Belgian artist based in Brussels whose practice centers on collecting, deconstructing, and re assembling everyday materials into thoughtful, poetic compositions. He repurposes found objects—often colorful and seemingly playful—into works that explore memory, communication, identity, and the subtle signals objects carry, inviting viewers to reflect on what lies beneath the surface of the familiar.

Dirk Zoete (b. 1969) is a Belgian artist whose work grows from drawing — the foundation of a universe filled with plants, invented characters, architectural forms and staged scenarios. His practice embraces playful experimentation and continual reworking: sketches become models, models return to drawings, and images evolve through repetition and variation. Zoete's oeuvre spans a wide spectrum of media – from drawings, sculptures, and installations to printing techniques, (stop motion) films and, since 2023, paintings on canvas and panel.

Joris Ghekiere (1955–2016, Kortrijk, Belgium) was a Belgian painter whose singular and prolific practice resisted easy categorisation. Ghekiere did not adhere to a single method or visual language; he explored a wide range of painting techniques and stylistic approaches throughout his career, allowing both figurative and abstract imagery to interact and resonate within his work.

Starting often from sources such as internet imagery or his own photographs, Ghekiere worked with materials and compositions that blend immediacy with reflection, surface with suggestion. His oeuvre moves fluidly between modes, at times invoking familiar motifs and at others veering into ambiguous abstraction. This openness and multiplicity became characteristic of his painting — each canvas pivoting between recognition and reinvention.

Ghekiere’s work has been presented in numerous exhibitions and his legacy continues to be maintained by the Joris Ghekiere Foundation (). His contributions to contemporary painting remain admired for their restless curiosity and formal inventiveness.

The process of Berlin-based artist Katrin Bremermann () is deeply contemplative: working on waxed paper, she waxes both sides to create a translucent, almost architectural surface, then layers enamel to evoke tension between depth and flatness.
