KICKERTABLE - Prototyping Diversity - FOOTBALL FOR EVERYONE
Diversity KICKERTABLES is a series of presentations, discussions and prototyping activities on the topics of ex/inclusion and discrimination/emancipation in sport. Kickertable (in English tablefootball, tablefussball, in French Baby Foot) was initially produced in 2013 at Timelab, experimental workspace in Gent, Belgium, but also included several other organizations including city premiere league team KAA GENT. In 2014 it has been shown several times also in Brussels where several workshop were held starting work on new kickertables within different communities and formats of work. In 2015 there are new presentations and workshops planed in Paris and Littoral in France. The project was initiated by Željko Blaće with Jason Hall and realized in collaboration with:

Een kickertafel als symbool voor diversiteit, openheid en samenwerking. De figuurtjes zijn a-typische voetbalfiguren die ongewone verhalen vertellen uit de voetbalwereld van vroeger en nu. Zo speelde de eerste zwarte voetballer in België bij AAGent in 1957, was er een damesploeg in Québec die aanvankelijk niet met sluier op het veld mocht verschijnen en outte recent een homo-koppel zich in het voetbal voor mannen. Timelab is een experimentele werkplaats in Gent met een community van makers met verschillende achtergronden en skills. Zeljko Blace is dit jaar te gast in Timelab. Hij bekijkt de sportwereld als een ideaal laboratorium voor sociale, politieke en culturele verandering. Een toernooi PinkPong met zelfontworpen regels? Initiatielessen synchroonzwemmen voor vrouwen én mannen? Een a-typische kickertafel met diverse voetbalfiguren? De kickertafel werd gemaakt in Timelab in samenwerking met lokale makers. De standaard, in serie geproduceerde figuurtjes worden vervangen door a-typische voetbalfiguren. Bijvoorbeeld handgemaakte en ge3Dprinte figuurtjes die unieke verhalen in de tafel brengen. Het ganse maakproces wordt gedeeld, iedereen wordt mee-eigenaar van het werk. De tafel blijft evolueren en ook na de lancering kunnen er nieuwe figuurtjes worden gecreëerd en gedeeld. De tafel werd gemaakt in Timelab door Mikail Milissen, Tilde Potoms, Rik Potoms, Barbara Vackier, Tiny Coopman, Yves Marquillie, Tom De Meester, Wim Beelaert, Annelien Vermeir, Caroline Vincart, Isabel Allaert, Thibault Verougstraete, Jason Hall en Zeljko Blace. in samenwerking met FAREnetwork en Voetbal in de stad
