The De Principaal Organ Festival is traditionally held during the Ghent Festival. The concerts take place in the historic churches of St. Stefanus and St.

From 19 to 26 July 2026 the concerts are held daily at 4 p.m. in St. Stefanus Church.

The performers include Paul De Maeyer, the titular organist of De Principaal, as well as students from the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.

The concerts feature the magnificent Flentrop and Forrest organs, with programmes showcasing the rich musical traditions of different countries and historical periods, from the Middle Ages to the present day, as well as organ improvisations created spontaneously during the performances.

Admission fee: €15 (€12 for members of De Principaal).

In addition, free organ demonstrations are held every day at 12:00 and 12:30 in St. Nicholas Church.
