COMPAGNIE PILOLABO

In “Les Hommes Andersom” brengen Tars Vandebeek en Mathias Goethals hun artistieke werelden samen.

Op het snijpunt tussen ballet, acrobatie, hedendaagse dans en danstheater, creëert het tweetal, samen een wondermooie, nieuwe, choreografische taal.

Compagnie Pilolabo staat voor het verweven van kunstvormen en met “Les Hommes Andersom” wordt de toon gezet.

Een abstracte voorstelling waarin de connectie en de spanning, tussen de twee spelers die in elkaars wereld duiken, bloot gelegd wordt.

Wat gebeurt er als je elkaars standpunt, letterlijk en figuurlijk, durft in te nemen? Wat gebeurt er als je elkaars wereld omdraait? Wie weet brengt het een heleboel kleuren met zich mee…

Laat je overrompelen door beelden, muziek, bewegingen, materialen en wat de twee spelers daarmee doen. Laat de voorstelling naar jou kijken en verdwaal in jezelf terwijl je kijkt.

Tomorrow we première our first full evening piece “LES HOMMES ANDERSOM” !

“The atmosphere we create on stage is inspired by the works of painter Vladimir Veličković. His works are often dark and rough in theme, but they always contain a use of colour and an enormously refined sense of beauty. This duality of rawness and refined beauty, with a bouquet of colours in a dark and simplistic setting, inspires us.”

Happy birthday Tars!! 💫

Who the hell is Tars?

Tars is co-founder, artistic leader and a beautiful artist of Compagnie Pilolabo.

After his studies at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp, Tars started working as a professional dancer. With classical ballet and contemporary dance as specialisation. Tars danced as a soloist with repertoire companies Cannes Jeunes Ballet in France, Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart, Ballet Zürich in Switzerland and DFDC in Frankfurt. He worked with top choreographers and toured the world.

After these experiences he co-created a platform with Pilolabo where he can express himself to the fullest!
