"In the end, culture, for us, is very important, but the more important thing is coming together and starting a conversation on differences and what we can do to have real change."
This Thursday at Ciné Rio, de Koer, the non-profit organization Splinter is showing the rarely seen 𝙆𝙖𝙛𝙧 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙢 (1974) and 𝙇𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙏𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙒𝙖𝙧 (1985), two works by the Lebanese filmmaker Borhane Alaouie. The screening is part of 𝗘𝘆𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲, running throughout the city of Ghent till 20 December. At Urgent.fm, studio guest Firas El Hallak talked to Tim about the program, and - amonst other things - the duality he has in common with Alaouie , one of his favorite filmmakers.
