Opening today: herman de vries 95

In celebration of his upcoming 95th anniversary (11 July), we present the third solo exhibition of herman de vries at the gallery. The exhibition aims at making connections between some very early works (1958) and works from other fases of the artist's career, spanning over 70 years.

Persistence

Riki Mijling & Jo Van Rijckeghem

A duo exhibition not to be missed.

"Persistence" not only signifies perseverance and determination, but also reflects a deep-rooted resilience and tenacity that are evident in both Riki and Jo as individuals and within their artistic practice.

In the creation process of their works, this quality reveals itself through careful construction, continuous exploration, and an unwillingness to let go of an idea until it reaches its full potential.

At the same time, "Persistence" refers to the longevity of the materials used and the lasting impact the works have on the viewer - an effect that extends beyond the immediate moment and continues to resonate over time.

We are very happy, proud and humbled to be awarded the prize for best solo booth at 2026!

Thank you to the jury , and for your choice for who is been working for more than 7 decades. For recognizing his profound poetry, minimalism and modesty, and the relevance of his work, whilst also appreciating the deep dive we have made into his works between 1977 and 2026, resulting in a generous booth full of big and small gems.
