Layers, traces and contrasts reveal the physical process of painting, a continuous interplay between movement, material and space.

In this recent work, Arty Grimm explores the tension between gesture and structure. Sweeping circular movements are interrupted by dense, almost sculptural passages of black and white, creating a composition that feels both spontaneous and carefully balanced.

Gesture, movement and materiality define this powerful composition by Arty Grimm. Broad, spontaneous brushstrokes in deep black and charcoal grey are counterbalanced by softer passages of muted green and warm ochre.

Rather than describing a fixed image, Grimm allows forms to emerge through the act of painting itself. Layers overlap, dissolve and interrupt one another, while areas of untouched canvas give the composition space to breathe. The tension between control and spontaneity gives the work its remarkable energy.

Summer, colour, abstraction.

Warm ochres and luminous yellows give the work an unmistakably Mediterranean light, while deep blues and reds bring rhythm and tension to the surface.

In Miguel Ybáñez’s painting, fragments of architecture and machinery collide and dissolve into a vibrant play of colour, line and gesture. Recognisable forms emerge only to slip back into abstraction, creating a composition that feels at once constructed and spontaneous.

At first glance, White Prelude feels almost weightless. Yet the longer you look, the more it unfolds.

Art critic Peter Frank described Müller’s Prelude series as works that “hover on the wall like forgotten garments, enveloping imaginary bodies that have long since disappeared.” The result is a presence that is at once architectural, human and profoundly contemplative.

Created from folded and scored Fabriano paper, Müller transforms a humble material into a sculptural composition where light, shadow and space become part of the work itself. Neither painting nor sculpture, White Prelude occupies the space between both, inviting the viewer to slow down and experience form as something quietly alive.

At first glance, Jupp Linssen’s paintings appear calm and understated. Look a little longer, and their remarkable depth begins to unfold.

Built from layered marble dust, plaster, wax and pigments, each work bears the traces of time, revealing a richly textured surface where process becomes the subject.

In Vegetabile / Lost, soft green tones evoke nature and transformation, while a luminous white line flows across the canvas like a river or a memory.

Linssen reminds us that beauty is often found not in perfection, but in what time leaves behind.
