« My home is very colourful, because colour genuinely makes me happy. »

This quote from Jasmijn Muskens perfectly captures why I was drawn to her work in the first place.

I’ve always believed that the objects we surround ourselves with can influence how we feel. A colourful cushion won’t solve your problems, of course. But it can make you smile. It can brighten a corner. It can bring a little more joy into your everyday life.

In our latest interview, Jasmijn shares her creative journey, her love of materials, and her thoughts on the connection between colour, objects and well-being.

✨ The full interview is now on the blog.

Colour.
Fun.
Personality.

That’s what Re-leaf has been about since day one.

A carefully curated selection of colourful gifts and playful objects from independent makers across Europe.

Because the things we surround ourselves with every day should make us smile.

🌈 Hello, I’m Stephanie, the curator behind Re-leaf, a Belgian gift shop for people who love colour.

What would you pick from this photo?

Some people collect stamps.
Some people collect sneakers.
I seem to collect colourful objects that make me smile.
Over the years, my apartment has slowly filled up with playful prints, handmade ceramics, quirky objects and little treasures that spark joy every time I walk past them.
And honestly? That’s exactly how Re-leaf was born.

What object in your home makes you smile every day?

WHY I CHOSE THIS #1 ✨

When I first saw this mug, it was the oversized handle that caught my eye.

It’s playful, graphic and gives so much personality to an otherwise simple everyday object.

What I also love is that it doesn’t scream for attention. The natural red clay keeps it grounded, while the touches of colour add just the right amount of fun.

A mug for anyone who wants to bring a little more colour into their home, without going all in. ☕️

What do you think: would this fit in your kitchen?

Some artists have been on my wish list for years.

Patri is one of them.

I’ve been following her work for a long time and have always admired the way she blends architecture, color and ceramics into objects that feel both playful and thoughtful.

What I love most is that these pieces are made to be used every day. They’re mugs, cups and objects you’ll reach for again and again. But at the same time, they feel like small works of art.

Beautiful, functional and full of personality.

I’m very happy to finally share her work with you at Re-leaf 💙

Everyday moments at home.

Lighting incense.
Flipping through a book.
Drinking coffee.
Drying my hands.
Rearranging small corners.
Watering my plants.

Simple gestures, made better with objects I love.

A little update about the shop project 👀

Last week, I shared that Re-leaf would be opening a physical space in Brussels.

I really wanted to believe in this project.
The place had a lot of potential and for a moment it honestly felt like the natural next step for Re-leaf after almost 7 years online.

But as things started becoming more concrete, I also started feeling an increasing amount of anxiety every single day.
And after a lot of reflection, I realised that deep down… it’s simply not the right moment for me.

Between an upcoming move, financial reality, my full-time job and everything happening behind the scenes, I had to be honest with myself before taking on too much at once.

So for now, Re-leaf will stay online only ✨

I’m obviously a bit disappointed, but I also think listening to your limits is important.

Thank you so much for all the kind messages and excitement around the project. It genuinely meant a lot.

And if you’d still like to support Re-leaf, the best thing you can do is continue following the project online, talking about it around you, sharing it with friends, or thinking about us when looking for colorful objects made by independent artists & makers 💛

Maybe one day the right space will appear at the right moment.

Colorful objects under €50.

Because joy at home doesn’t have to be expensive.

A mug.
A print.
Earrings.
A candle holder.
A little wooden charms.

Small things you use every day, carefully selected on Re-leaf.

This feels slightly unreal to say…

After almost 7 years online, Re-leaf is opening its very first physical space in Brussels ✨

A small colorful shop hidden inside the Grand Hospice, filled with ceramics, prints, books, jewelry and joyful objects by independent artists & makers.

The space still needs a lot of painting, building, improvising and probably a few emotional support coffees ☕️
But we wanted to share the news with you already because this project means a lot to us.

For years, Re-leaf existed from our apartment, through packages, open houses, markets and the website.
Now it’s slowly becoming a real place people can actually walk into.

We’ll share the whole process here over the next weeks 👀

Opening soon at the Grand Hospice in Brussels.
