💥Only two weeks left to visit Bend Sinister in Brussels💥

For the first time in Belgium, presents not only sculptures and drawings, but also a selection of recent paintings.

Paloma draws from the symbols, memories and contradictions of his personal world to create a visual language that reflects on politics, human behaviour and contemporary society. His works move freely between abstraction and figuration, where cities, bodies, animals and signs merge into expressive, often turbulent compositions.

Art historian and critic Larissa Kikol describes his work as a form of visual riot: a gestural and material chaos where countless signs collide and transform.

With earthy tones, bold forms and a raw, almost primal energy, Paloma’s paintings invite us to navigate the complexity of the world around us.

While David Horgan is sweating it out during an artist residency in Ibiza, we are presenting a selection of his recent paintings in Antwerp.

Only three Saturdays remain to discover the exhibition ‘être humain’ before it closes.

Originally trained as an architect, David left behind a successful career to pursue what had always been his true calling: painting.

His works blend personal memories, popular culture, music, humour and everyday observations into vibrant, emotionally charged narratives. Raw, energetic and rich in texture, they invite us into stories that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar.

We are honoured to show this print by Marlene Dumas:

Materials: silkscreen on paper (ed. 100 + X)

Collection: M HKA, Antwerp — Donated by Bart De Baere, 2008 (Inv. no. S0404).

The silkscreen print Semite is the first from an edition of 10 prints that Marlene Dumas made in 2004. Dumas takes the human figure as her starting point to develop a visual critique of contemporary racial, sexual and social identities. Semiteis a portrait of a man who, judging by the title, hails from the Middle East. In her portraits, Dumas focuses on the individual rather than the general; she does not turn her figures into symbols of broader issues.
