Brian recent paintings emerge in troubled times that call for a response and a heightened sense of awareness. Rather than shrinking from uncertainty and confusion, his painting proposes that we accept this reality and become more present in our lives and in the things we actually control. The figures in these works share this vigilance: they are self-possessed and ready for whatever life may bring. They move forward, relate to one another, and travel through twilight landscapes, threshold spaces where new possibilities and opportunities for transcendence can emerge.

‘Sunday Mornings’ June 4 – Alice Gallery
Yann Le Bec explores material, gesture, and surprise as the very substance of his work.
For the exhibition Sunday Mornings, opening June 4, he has created a new series of monotypes.
Beyond these monotypes—unique works where accident becomes language—he moves fluidly between painting, drawing, illustration, and comics, traversing mediums with the same freedom.
The monotypes presented in Sunday Mornings revisit a technique cherished by the Impressionists: paint applied to a rigid support is transferred under pressure, creating an unpredictable, vibrating surface where chance collaborates with intention.
Sunday Mornings is a shared exhibition featuring Yann Le Bec alongside his brother Gwendal Le Bec and American artist Brian Lotti.
This exhibition offers a journey where textures, traces, and stories meet, suspending experimentation and control in delicate balance.
Each work invites a slow, attentive, almost tactile gaze.
