Special thanks to Heilwige Bloemaert for her gracious appearance. pHavorite is an entrance hall of the Palace of References, where the references consist of works of art or attitudes that the six participating artists have chosen as their favorites. It is an entrance hall because the favorite serves as a gateway, but is by no means the only reference for a particular body of work or way of life. Spatially, a distinction has been made between the work of the six invited artists on the one hand and their favorites on the other. The favorites date from the 5th century BC to 2023 and are exhibited in the safe, either as originals or as reproductions referring to the original.
