Bi+ Visibility Day is about more than visibility — it’s about recognition, rights and solidarity. ✊🏽
This Wednesday, we took to the streets with two street concerts, at Mont des Arts and in front of , to make some noise, celebrate bi+ identities and raise awareness around biphobia. 🌈
Bi+ people continue to face discrimination, stereotypes and invisibility — both within and outside the LGBTQIA+ community. Too often, our identities are questioned, dismissed as a phase, or reduced to harmful clichés. 🫶🏼
And these aren’t harmless stereotypes. Bi+ people experience higher rates of mental health difficulties, violence and su!c!dal thoughts and attempts than many other groups. Visibility and recognition can therefore be a matter of wellbeing and safety, not just representation. ❤️🩹
Bi+ people have always been part of LGBTQIA+ history and activism. We have always been here. 👑
That’s why visibility matters. Because being bi+ is valid, biphobia is real, and our voices deserve to be heard. 💜🩷💙
